This is one of the most entertaining and educational discussions on the IGS in months.

Which says much about the IGS.

I have to agree on this one.

Side note - just found out what taistoiitsu means - pardon my ignorance, but I actually had to look it up in some encyclopaedia. Seems I have been wrong to assume you were looking for a space combat. As for a meeting on a tatami, why not? I'd even say that you honour me by inviting. (Probably should ask Tali to show me a few good moves, or else I'll be thrown around like an old sack)

Side note - that's one of the reasons people don't like us, gallente. We are ignorant, and we act upon our ignorance. I seem to be one living proof of that. Smile

I didn't think you were into that kind of foreplay.

But it suddenly makes sense.

Pierre Echerie, just don't forget your f**** insurance. We gotta test, who of us is fat.

Caellach Marellus, do you want a piece of it too, eh?

Pierre my old friend, seems you've found a feisty one. Good Luck taming that one

It's like they usually say about fantasy MMO's and men playing female characters: "If I'm going to spend alot of time watching this character, it might as well have a good looking ass".

I'll pass, if I want a woman to snuggle up to at night I'd rather have one that isn't ice cold.

What has gone somewhat unmentioned to this point is the influence of love on the perceived attractiveness of a person. If I love someone, they are beautiful to me. How a person looks can change dramatically from the initial first impression based on that person's personality, words, and deeds. The face that may appear homely at first may become angelic as the person is known. And vice-versa, the handsome or beautiful may turn ugly and repulsive if their actions are repulsive and ugly.

If I love, admire, respect, appreciate a person, I enjoy looking at his or her face. It contains a beauty reflective of who resides inside.

Mr. Embrace, I have no intention to 'tame' her. In fact, I think such a term is rather offensive to the woman in question (or any woman, for that matter). Besides, the only thing I want to get out of that sparring is a bit of acceptance. Not love, not even respect per se. All I want is to be accepted as someone who has a right to voice his opinion without being immediately viewed as some aberration. One thing I certainly do not want is to force my company on someone who, quite obviously, doesn't like me.

Well, then, off I go. If you see some badly hurt bloke moaning in a hospital, it will mean I managed to survive.

I did read it, and thanks for that compliment on behalf all the Caldari Smile

What I meant is that perhaps we are more speaking business than flirting, but, as Malcolm Khross mentioned here earlier, if all was so bad, then why are we not extinct as a people? Lol

And I just absolutely can't get used to that 'keep smiling' doctrine. Kind of devaluates the real smile when you feel happy.

We would surmise that physical beauty remains, much as the ancient term describes, 'in the eye of the beholder'.
We would also note that in the majority of cases, the tastes of an adult human, especially those related to those entities and objects that they find aesthetically pleasing, are moulded strongly during their formative years.

or perhaps the tube child program is more necessary than the cluster is led to believe....

At the risk of being teased or misunderstood, I will say it. When I look at Scherezad, I see not a hairstyle, makeup, or fashion. I see in her face a woman of sensitivity, intelligence, self-control, knowledge, etc. I also see a quality very rare these days, courtesy. Her true looks have nothing to do with her race, but with the better parts of personality she has chosen to cultivate. Hair, makeup and clothing don't really matter in the long run. Even in her non-defensive, self effacing response to insult, a finer loveliness shines through.

Oh my. My blush is now entirely authentic as well as excessive. You are too kind, Mr. Momaki. I wish that the Cluster valued as beauty those things you mention, but perhaps it is better that most people value the shallow surface features. If not, your time would be too hard-pressed by suitors for you to get your work done!
