CSPA Scam Is it Legal?

I inadvertly chaged a friend last night millions in CSPA charges which i promptly refunded to him since he was a friend but It got me thinking why not pull off a scam doing excatly that.

Heres how I think it would work. Goto a rather busy system and state that you are tired of this game and you are quitting, "I hate this game Im giving all my **** away." Now a smart eve player who convos you will read the CSPA charge warning and see that you have set it rather high and wont bother accepting. Now there will be the occasional player who doesnt care and will accept thus filling your wallet with a nice chunk of isk.

Has this been done and is this legal?

Money is better than poverty, if only for financial reasons.

There's no scam if you do not profit from it although this has been done many times in the past by various mischevious scamps.

You might gain some rage. Which is probably worth it. Set it for 100M. Also blocks many unwanted convos.

Errh you are an idiot CSPA charge is not given to you which you should know
also anything done in game not involving a exploit is legal even if you rob your own grandma's corp out of all her belongings.

Interestingly, this is a two way scam.

The scammer can get scammed, thinking they are getting the isk (which they don't) and thus potentially wasting time.
And of course the target (who has to be either a moron or oblivious) who wastes isk.

Why is this thread still going?

One guy already posted what the CSPA cap is. The game doesn't allow setting a CSPA charge above one million isk.

Last time the limit was exactly 1.000.000 ISK aka one million ISK.

Besides that ... it's an ISK sink. Nobody gets the money.

No, it means you can propose a chat to anyone. They still have to accept the invitation for the conversation to take place. And anyone can even have auto-reject turned on.
