Okay so we have stuff like Slaver Hounds which I would guess are technically aliens in the traditional sense. However they don't seem very intelligent in comparison to humans. Are there any little easter eggs or anything related to actual intelligent alien life in EVE?

Perhaps one could argue that Rogue Drones would classify as intelligent, and they seem pretty alien to me. They may have human origins, but they definitely have evolved (or developed themselves) into something alien.

Space. It seems to go on and on forever. But then you get to the end and a gorilla starts throwing barrels at you.

All apparently very advanced humans who got to the EVE galaxy before the main Empires.

Technically, the humans are the aliens since they came from outside the Galaxy.

I think the sleepers are humans whose minds and bodies became corrupted by hell camps and now wander through WH space, hungry and yearning for something they do not understand.

The actual Sleepers are long gone; the things we call Sleepers are just their Drones they've left behind.

At least, that's my understanding of it.

Unfortunately what the sleepers are and where they are is already told in the lore and that's not it.

That's too bad, I liked the idea of them being some kind of product of an Event Horizon sci-fi horror type scenario.

Depends on your definition of intelligent, I was going to mention NickyYo but that's probably something of a grey area.

Sleepers are already shown the the latest dust trailer where they extract the implant. They are obviously humanoid even thoug you can't see distict features in the hibernation chamber. And the latest dust514 chronical that discuses sleeper consciences left inside sleeper salvage such as the implants which gain control of the new host with past memories as sleepers were wizards of cyberspace going all ghost in the shell trope.

The EVE Chronicles available on the EVE website hold a lot of the answers to your questions. All five Empires are descendants of the original settlers who were left stranded here when the EVE Gate collapsed and the Sleepers are thoroughly explained in the latest EVE novel Templar One.

As for Aliens in EVE, as far as we know there are none.

That's disappointing and sad.

Considering the greatness of the universe, I'm of the belief that it would be unfathomable that we're all alone here.

is it really that unfathomable to consider we happened upon a section of space that is/was (currently) uninhabited by other species?

Then again, there is Yan Jung/Talocan/et. al. technology that's been laying around ... though I forget offhand what the lore says about them...

The androids we created ascended and then made the universe devoid of all life but human life, even themselves, in accordance with the three laws. There you go, problem solved.

By the way, since we're already talking, do you want to buy a rifter? I've got the cheapest rifters in Metropolis. If you can find a cheaper rifter, buy it!

Don't know really. You have to remember the distances our ships travel and how many solar systems you can actually visit.

Idk if this was mentioned but there's a mission where you track down an alien ship.

It turns out to be a rogue drone.
