I've been tinkering a lot with my avatar today and eventually got rid of the bare shoulders as I couldn't get the hair to work along with the shoulders. So I've gone back to the black uniform and a matching background, should go live anytime.

@Shalua: oh, you went back to the narrower angle... What? The wider one just needed some triming of the framing and a different background, the pose already was working.

Yeah, thats the downside of that haircut. I still haven't managed to make it work properly.

Oh you don't, too? Then it's something with physics of the tips and the image server rendering whatever sees fit, it's impossible to guess the outcome from the CC. But also it's a great hairstyle, and the only one that allows to look from behind it (the new hairstyle they added with Inferno downright blocks the eye). I might try to make a "looking from behind" pose for the right eye sometime, albeit Ishtanhuck's "good side" is the left one (don't ask me why).

PS: well, it's live now... much better.

Looks alright. Too much black though. The hair, the background, and the shirt all just sorta muddle together and lose distinction. And the face doesn't look quite good enough to justify muddling everything else out, methinks. 7.5/10

Light fits the background well and I like the expression. Hair looks a little weird at the shoulders, but that might be what others mentioned above on this page about the renderer.
On the larger pictures something with your mouth seems a little off to me, and for some reason the picture's quality seems low in some areas. I noticed there's no 1024 version of the picture, so I assume it's an old one.
Maybe if you took a new picture (without changing anything/much) that'd get better? Not sure.

If I were you I would use it
Take the picture from the sides , just like your older portrait.
The flow from the hairline to the chin and then to the bottom right corner...
That was a good portrait..
now it just look kinda clumpy, and makes your nose EXTRA big

Potential for 9.8/10
Now 7/10

Wear lighter colored clothes , your dark skin tone doesn't match your black sterling
