There has been some fiction on the conditions in a PI facility for the non-capsuleer population and it has been detailed enough to sound (at least in that instance like it was not a pleasant place to be...at least in this undisclosed null-sec location).

But yes I'd imagine Caldari PI installations run with less brutality and more precision and automation.
