Farming FW 2: The Two Systems

Disclaimer

I'm sure the original developers of this new method have filed petition to confirm this is not an exploit, especially after seeing what happened to the goons when they tried to exploit FW for ISK, however as I don't have it in writing I have taken the liberty of petitioning for myself to confirm this is legitimate gameplay. In the mean time exercise caution as there is a small chance the following practice may constitute an exploit.

You Will need

A character capable of flying a Tengu / Tier 3 BC (standings and faction irrelevant)
Several TLF alts with L4 mission access

You Will Get

The ability to farm missions in 1 system without having to travel anywhere or worry about being killed.

If done well the ability to acquire up to 500k LP / hour (~2.5bn ISK)

Method

Accept several missions on several alts in Olfeim. (The L4 TLF agent in Olfeim only gives missions to Tzvi)

Set clone location to Tzvi.

Destroy Pods.

Spawn missions in Tzvi.

Set clone location to Olfeim.

Destroy Pods

Use your mains to quickly complete the missions in Tier 3 BCs and Tengus in Tzvi.

????

Profit.

thats quite old. I saw it already used before inferno patch. Fleets of alpha pods are common these days

how to fix eve: 1) remove ECM 2) rename dampeners to ECM 3) add new anti-drone ewar for caldari 4) give offgrid boosters ongrid combat value

So how is that different from having 6 two days old alts in gunless frigs pulling 300m/h each in plexes?
BTW 500k LP/h is like 1 mission every 2.5 min? How is this guy doing this... that fast? Maybe he's using like 5 chars for pulling and 1 for killing, that would be more like it, and it's approx the same that ppl do in best npc 0.0 missions blitzing only fastest ones, rejecting others.

300m/hr from plexes? I think that's some favourable calculation there. True this is also possible but this is of limited supply, whereas the tactic I listed is effectively infinite.

Yes essentially. I believe missions where supposed to be balanced by making you travel around through hostile space and thus inducing some risk, which is contrary to what is listed above. Its not really the same I don't have any problem with people declining missions.

Correct. Didn't wait until after, unlike goons.

Assuming 5k isk/LP as you did in your oroginal post, 300m/hr is only 60k lp/hr, which is trivially easy to do.

And the GM's confirmed that an agent sending ALL mission whores to just one system is "as intended"?

Either CCP truly and irrevocably want Eve to become a massive farm like WoW et al. or the GM who handled the case has ineptitude written all over him.

PS: Third option is that GM was not given actual useful data and/or was dragged to his evaluation by careful manipulative wording of petition .. but we player are honourable folk and would never such a thing!!! Smile

so, even when there's no amarr systems to plex in, there's still a large LP source, which doesn't have competition for it, only requires people to be able to keep the opposition out of Tzvi, and cannot be shut off, because Olfeim isn't a contestable system?

that's amazing!

Just the facts.

what i was saying is that neutrals doing FW missions for alts is nothing new, only supporting your observation.

how to fix eve: 1) remove ECM 2) rename dampeners to ECM 3) add new anti-drone ewar for caldari 4) give offgrid boosters ongrid combat value

This happens once in a while after a patch. The last time I remember this happening was for Caldari in Alparena. I think the Gallente pilots involved called it "The Great Alparena Turkey Shoot".

Speaking as "one of those goons" who previously broke FW, I think it's cute that you think it being "entirely within legitimate game mechanics" matters in any way. Whether that matters or not is entirely up to CCP Sreegs, and his whims are fickle indeed.

BTW, thank you for allowing me to cash out at Tier 5 without having to use a single LP for upgrades.

I think the problem lies in poorly thought through game mechanics. (I mean the goon exploit was obviously going to happen, I even chatted about it with others but never put the effort in to find the items with silly 'values' or work out how to manipulate them)

This is clearly an exploit as if agents were only supposed to send missions to one system they all would, don't pretend this is 'working as intended'.

And yes Sreegs is the blunt tool that comes in to defend CCP's eHonour after they invariably screw up (ATX, FW etc..) and generally posting as if there is some kind of award for beating DCM at [the one that isn't - ship-toasting]
