I've never been much of a marketeer, but the whole point of an audit is a thrid party taking verifiable data to say whether you're a moron or good at what you do. So yes, API required: probably a custom one that expires in 24-48 hours that only includes wallet data (journal/transactions etc) and maybe (but instinct says no) asset data.

You should maybe a look at this thread from VV, it links to a very nice article he created walking you through the auditing process.

It is hard to determines someones NAV without full access to their assets.
I wouldent trust a Audit unless it was with a full API.

You will need to supply a full set of full APIs(Mails excluded). You will need to surrender your entire API for a couple of days due to how the API works and the auditors procedures. How long an audit takes depends on the complexity of your character(s) and their history, how deep the audit is intended to go(Verifying that you have no alts in alliance XX or that you have XXb liquid is a form of audit, just a very shallow one), and of course how busy the auditor is. On top of that, the auditor will tell you what he/she needs and when it's needed, you will be served a long series of questions based on your specific case.

Typical cost varies of course, but it's generally tiny considering the work involved. Full audit runs a few hundred mil.

Mind you, an audit is worth no more than the name of who did it.
