Sooo ... anyone here in the beta that offers some insights? just bought the pre order so I can play in the weekend.

Wondering if it will be worth it ... seen so many beta reviews in youtube but ... ahhh, really want this to be huge ... anyone willing to share anything on GW2?

I heard a lot about it but, I don't internet besides eve.
Looking to get into a secondary game to play in my downtime.
Is it any fun? (will)

Sword n Board but F2P. And by F2P I mean you pay for the box and vanity items, there never has been a subscription for this. From what I can see you can play with anybody from any server with the exception of the RvRvR.

I forgot to preorder last night, thanks for reminding me. Will do it as soon as I get home.

Got into the beta...Didnt have too much time to play it. It's polished, but not revolutionary as they'd would have you believe. Combat is the same button mash (classic) style. All they did is give more dodge/block options to all classes rather than say melee dps that usually only have them in other games.

Never got to play the world pvp... So crossing my fingers on that. There's iteration, but not revolution. Slight evolution I guess you could say. No monthly fee though!

Edit I remembered how WH online had a huge amount of hype around their features. granted public quests were fairly new, but didnt make the game. GW2 reminds me of that same hype (I never gave 2 thoughts on SWOTOR hype after reading an early preview) Perhaps im fantasy MMO jaded. I did hear TERA had actual combat though.

guild wars 2 is just hype, after a month you'll go back to your regular routine. (that's why its free) *hint hint*

That's why I got it. I can get my mmo sword n board kick without having to resub to daoc or rift or war or aoc.

Has been fantastic though out the betas, and loving it so far aswell. Its gona be hard to split my time between Eve and GW2 though Straight
