Hey guys, that event that people have been talking about every day for months afterward, that's not content. Content is some boring ass tournament with prizes. People will get excited when they hear about how you won some space prizes in a space game and will line up to subscribe.

The random EvE player only saw it as One day to avoid going to jita. Then they quickly forgot about it.



If anything, a PvP tournament might encourage that guy that doesn't even know where the EvE forums are to come and take a look to get a link to a youtube video, see when the next match is or who won/lost the previous match. That would help strengthen the community. Sure it might not be the best event.. But it beats burn jita by far.
