Hi everyone,

I put together a little project that allows FCs to better track members of their fleet:

You can find a description here:
http://www.digitalcreaturesnetwork.com/EveFC/GettingStarted

My problem is, that ppl keep closing their IGB during ops, or changing their url away from EVEFC, cause someone put an interesting link in fleet chat.

I was thinking about a notification like
"You are navigating away from EVEFC. Your FC will not receive further information. Do you really wan't to leave?" using

JScript - window.onbeforeunload,
but unfortunatly this doesn't work in IGB.

Any ideas how to do a notification like this from within IGB?

don't think there is.
All you could do is record the last time it was open and give the FC a warning who hasn't his browser open.

I have a similar tool btw, and yes, the biggest problem is for people to keep it open, even when minimized

Thanks Chaotic,
i drop members right now, if they didn't update for more then 60 sec.
Currently thinking of coloring these members red, and let the FC remove them (confirms the member has left... something)

Is Your tool public too?
Somewhere we can take a look?

you can take a look, but it's in deep beta since there was no requirement for it so far, or at least nobody is using it ;)

Well, I didn't really find a solution, but well I worked around it by slightly changing the purpose of the tool.
It's even renamed now , to better match the original purpose... EveXup.

also put up two other tools:
EveAssembler for all those building thingies and
EveIskBox which basically is a price check tool for various purposes.

which can all be found at http://www.digitalcreaturesnetwork.com/

Have fun tying if u like.
Comments of any kind are welcome.
