If I recall correctly, on a previous QEN, CCP stated the players have an average of 2.5 accounts. If the CCP mail I received few days ago stating 350k subs is correct, then it means the real number of unique players is about 140k.

No. There are some guesstimates that put it as somewhere between 1.5 and 2.

Sometimes you'll see the number 2.somethingorother thrown around, but that's the number of characters per account as reported by CCP (since that number can actually be easily calculated, unlike the number of people behind the accounts).
