Alliance mate posted this on our forums, thought I'd see if anyone here knew what was up. Speculation was that it had something to do with the new Mercoxit rigs.

Mercoxit requires "deep core" mining ... so, probably "fixed" something with that (i.e. stealth fix to drones because they don't have the deep core lasers)

or the game just went full-****** for a bit... best bet is a petition.

I can't remember drones ever mining mercoxit, but saying that it's been a long time since I mined it anyway

Drones will Mine the Mission version (Arkanor - if I remember right) very nicely right up until the explosions and then they all die... after that I decided it wasn't a good idea to use Miner II's (or drones or be within 5000m) or the rock...LOL... unless I liked seeing them all pop.

I think it's probably was a stealth-fix - drones aren't supposed to be able to mine Mercoxit, only the ship's DCM I or II versions and using the crystals I assume but maybe it works without ammo at reduced yield.

which ever one that explodes - don't remember the name it does the same explosions as Mercoxit does 5000km...
