I was debating with some friends about shield power relays having stacking penalties. Supposedly having a fourth Shield Power Relay II is almost worthless. I beg to differ but I wanted your thoughts on this please discuss.

SPRs are not stacking penalized.

Edit: this applies to both the decreased shield recharge time and the increased cap recharge time.

A fourth SPRII will provide significantly more tank than a damage control. The issue with SPRs is they severely cripple capacitor recharge. Even a 6th SPRII on a Rattlesnake will continue to provide more tank per second than a damage control. And no, as far as I know there are no stacking penalties for SPRs at all.

If you want more passive tank and your cap recharge can handle it just use another SPR. Each added one is still a huge gain in tank.
