Are we happy with petition times or not?

I often hear negative things about petitions. People say "IT WILL TAKE 2 WEEKS TO GET A RESPONSE AND THEY WON'T SORT IT OUT!" that sort of stuff but in my experience on my first petition on the gameplay and ship category as I was petitioning about a ship loss because of server problems. I got a response in just under 2 days which was fairly fast. Big smile

But really, all i hear is negs. So what I and many of us want to see is how quick petitions are answered by all of what you had as experience.

Is CCP's costumer service response times good? Well post in this topic and say what petition you filed by category and how quick it got answered and sorted out like this a bit.

'My petition was in the Ship category and it got answered in just under 2 days, fairly quick for what everyone said to me and it was sorted out well and I am happy'

Of course different categories are looked at quicker than others such as stuck will be looked at within 1 minute usually. But for the situation and what you had is it quick and good?

Feel free to talk about this in forum also but remember to stick to forum rules.

Ive had several responded and dealt with within 10 minutes. 100% of my petitions they have always been helpful to whatever my issues have been. I have nothing negative to say about how they deal with petitions.

I've had a couple issues and they were both resolved within 15 minutes or less, sure, it's not a large sample to come to a solid conclusion, but so far it's the best customer support I've ever seen in an MMO.

I've been playing EVE since 2006, and during that time I've filed six or seven petitions. 100% of them have been sorted out, and all but one of them was within 48 hours. The only one that took a long time was a reimbursement petition where I was like "I lost my ship, can I have some money?" and the GM got back to me after about a week saying "OH GOD I'M SO SORRY ABOUT THE WAIT. No."

I have never been dissatisfied with a CCP response or the response time.

Fastest response time was a billing issue with my credit card, which was sorted within 20 minutes of me filing a petition.

The petitions would be answered much faster if people didn't abuse the system by petitioning stuff which is completely unnecessary.

Never had a bad experience... I had a few account issues which were resolved very quickly. Longest was about 48 hours, but that was mostly due to the time zone delays.

Epeen:  Behavior quite commonly found on online discussion boards or similar, where some loser tries to establish his superiority - and thus the merit of his or her opinion - by stating how skilled and awesome he or she is, rather than forming a sound argument. Generally also used to condescendingly refer to someones ego.

Gone through almost 10 petitions through my Eve career. Never a bad experience. Some slow ones, but understandable due to their complexity.

The support staff has always been friendly, polite, and helpful (though I have had to sometimes walk them through the issue so they understood what was going on).

I suspect the people having negative experiences were negative to begin with. They also tend to be louder than those having positive experiences, since people who have good experiences typically don't go to the forums and post "I just had the GREATEST support experience today!"

Their petition times are great as long as you have a menial issue.
The second it becomes something serious it takes from 2 weeks to 2 and half months, with some rare cases of taking 3 weeks just to get the first acknowledgement they received the petition.

I have, over the seven years I've been in the game, made a few petitions.

Some I've had answered and the problem taken care of in less than 15 minutes and I've had some serious (as in game unplayable) ones that dragged on for months that I ended up unsubbing until CCP finally fixed the problem.

I've had friendly attentive GMs that genuinely seem to care and I've had GMs that seemingly just show up to work for the paycheck and don't give a rat's ass about the players they are supposed to be helping.

So I guess what I'm trying to say is that the customer service people at CCP are like any other corporate group . You get some good and some bad. Some fast and some slow. But overall my experience has been positive and far and above the best of any MMO I've played.

My limited experience with CCP customer support has been most satisfactory. Petition and bug reports have all been responded to in a prompt and helpful manner.

1) Petition times are good.
2) Difficult petitions need more investigation / time.
3) Haters gonna hate.
