Hi There.

I want to learn all aspects of indusry.

Ive started a new char but my question is this.

Is there a way of finding out the sales tax in a station if your not docked at it.

I had a look at some titanium i had refined and made a note.

STATION 1

Quantity 2,499 @ 5.06 isk = 12,644.69 isk

SALES TAX 1.5% = -189.67 game me a profit of 12,455.02. high lighted in green.

STATION 2

Quantity 2,499 @ 5.35 isk = 13,369.65 isk

SALES TAX 1.5% = 200.54 = 13,169.11 isk

So would i take the lower price which is less ST or would I take the higher price which is more ST?
and its that which I want to know weather you can find out what a stations sales tax is if your not docked?
Hope you can help me.
Thanks

It's always 1.5% unless you've trained the skill that lowers it (accounting?).

If you really need us to tell you whether you pick the one that gives you more profit or not, then perhaps you should have someone else handle the market portion for you.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

^This.

Standings (IIRC) affect it a little bit too. Best you can do is ~0.25% I think...

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

The formula for calculating brokers fee is as follows:

BrokerFee % = (1.000 % – 0.050 % × BrokerRelationsSkillLevel) / 2 ^ (0.1400 × FactionStanding + 0.06000 × CorporationStanding)

This means, if you have Broker Relations 5, Faction and corp standing at 10, you will have 0.1875% brokers fee

Another example is Broker Relations 4, both standings at say 5, this will result in 0.4% brokers fee

Even if the taxes where different in each of the stations I would suggest you sell your product where you get the most profit.

(2,499 @ 5.06) - 1.5% Tax = 12,455.26

(2,499 @ 5.35) - 1.5% Tax = 13,169.10 <---- \o/

I have to say that even though I trade in the billions I just pay the brokers fee and taxes ..coz I is lazy ..and the margins can take it. Lol

It's broken and it's been broken for a long time and it'll be broken for some time to come.

Taxes are static for all stations. They are affected by skills and range from the default of 1.5% to the L5 skill of .75%

Broker fees are calculated by Station corp and Faction standing. I'm not sure if Daria Meridian 's calculation is correct(I assume it is), 10 standing for both will get you near a 0.18% brokers fee and a 0/0 will give you 0.75% with L5 broker skill. You can get negative standings which will makes your brokers fee worse. Skills that modify standing DO NOT affect your brokers fee.

Make a phony sell or buy remote order and DO NOT submit it.

Example: 1 unit at 100,000,000 ISK and look at the broker fee.

You can get even more accurate by using 100,000,000 units (8 more decimal places).
