At the start of this year I commenced my third term as PIE CEO. I have never sought power, but I accepted the role in the best interests of the corporation.

Since then, I have spent as much of my time and energy as possible serving the corporation. However, I have become increasingly aware that my skills as a pilot and as a strategist have over the last year or two become out of date, and that new methodologies need to be employed in order to succeed in the current environment.

I have always held the opinion that the most important part of leadership was in knowing the right time to relinquish power and I have concluded that now is the time to step down. As such I informed my fellow directors a couple of weeks ago that I intended to resign and yesterday, with mixed emotions, I did just that.

The new CEO of PIE Inc and executor of Praetoria Imperialis Excubitoris is Mitara Newelle who since joining the corp has served with distinction and amply demonstrated her ability to take PIE from strength to strength. I know that PIE's members and allies will all support Admiral Newelle as they have me throughout my tenure and I am looking forward to seeing PIE thrive under her stewardship.

On a more personal note, I will be leaving PIE Inc. in the next few days to take up a new role within the alliance.

I'd drink a toast at your inauguration, but of course you wouldn't invite me and I can't go to Amarr space anyway.

Could not agree more. I served with Mitara when I was a Captain with PIE. She tought me a lot as a new pilot within New Eden. Her professionalism is beyond reproach.

Thank you, Admiral Blake - your years of repeated dedication to PIE and the wider Empire continue to inspire.

Admiral Newelle - PIE is in good hands. I hope that you steer her in the direction that will best serve the Empire. God knows it needs you and your men.

I would like to add my thanks to Admiral Blake for his distinguished service to both the Empire and PIE. Few capsuleers have shown the fortitude required of such a career as Admiral Blake.

I salute you, Admiral. God bless you a thousand times over.

It is with great humility, and utmost respect for those who have come before me, that I now accept the position of CEO of PIE Inc. May I always remain a servant of our people, our Empress, and our God. May I continue to guide PIE in wisdom and in Faith.

It's been lovely, my most favorite of all Imperial loyalists.

This does give me a great idea for a comedy series, though. A retired Admiral Blake moves-in with the retired Archbishop, and cantankerous adventures ensue. I think we'll call it "Grump Old Men." We'll make a mint on the broadcast ratings!

I have but one small regret... that I was never able to watch your hull burn in person and collect your charred remains. Seems we were always at opposing battle schedules.

In any case a salute to you, my one and only Admiral Blake.

I am thrilled to see Admiral Newelle take up this position and know she will lead the Amarrian forces to glorious and righteous victory against the enemies of the Empire.
