Is it possible to move the icons that pop up when your ship is being webbed or warp disrupted ect? Also I try to keep my "selected item" box as small as possible but somehow it keep expanding itself. I guess it's whenever I target certain items it blows up to show more info but I don't know which items are doing it. Thanks.

If selected items is resizing it's probably your snap distance. The setting is in the esc menu and I prefer to set it at 3.

You move the hud by dragging it from the center though I'm not sure if it moves the ewar icons but it should.

Maxim 6. If violence wasn’t your last resort, you failed to resort to enough of it.

My selected Items window does this sometimes too. I will shrink it and then later its big again. Usually after a session change or logging in/out

However, there are some objects that will have more interactive option in your selected items window than others. But this should affect the size of the buttons, and not the size of the window.

As for your icons over your capacitor/Shield-Armor-Hull display, I think they are anchored to that module so you would have to move the whole thing.

Can that be moved?

Yes, just left-click-and-drag your capacitor and it moves everything anchored to it. I have mine off center to the right. I am pretty sure you can move it all over the place though.

Also, to help take up less room, you can click on the sideways lines and click "hide passive modules" and it will hide any module you cant turn on. this helps a lot with saving UI space.

If the window is pinned, it shouldn't do that.

Targets can be moved too. You have to lock a target to find the little icon you can drag to the bottom right of the target. It can sometimes be hidden under the current selected window.

The hud's icons that appear when you're webbed or scrammed can't be shuffled around as far as I know and I never bothered to try moving them since I have a urge to shoot the bugger making them appear, they draw my attention like drones with sleepers, wich I find better than the original position as microscopic icons on the very edge of the overview.

The selected item window, has this habit of adjusting its size when you select a player, NPC, or another entity with a rather long name, long corp name, or such, it's usually cause by the hardcoded width of some text fields next to the selected item's picture that doesn't stretch like the window itself does. So the text is spanned on multiple lines and it makes the window adjust to fit it.

Over time, I grew used to that and now I enjoy the lerger buttons as larger targets are easier to aim for.

Having information about people affecting your ship is important enough that you want it to get in the way. It used to **** me off so much when I'd hit warp nothing would happen I wouldn't realise and try it again thinking it was just lost in the ether to then look down 30 items of overview to see the tiny icons telling me someone is scramming me.

Now when concord appear I am immediately aware they have webbed scrammed jammed and neuted me.

If brute force isn't working, you're just not using enough.

Please Note: Any advice given comes with the caveat that nothing will be suitable for every situation.
