Attempting to log into EVE causes wireless connection to drop

I've tested this in several ways, everything on my comp works normal - I can browse the net, post on these forums, play any other games -- but every time I try logging in to EVE, my wireless connection seems to briefly believe there are no networks available. I then get the "SOCKET WAS CLOSED" error. Is it just me or is CCP going TROLOLOLOL. I just paid to reactivate my account, I feel like I'm being ripped off. Clearly, its an issue with EVE - a lot of people are getting this problem but no one seems to be making any progress with support. Does anyone have similar symptoms loosing their wireless?

It is most likely that your router blocking what it thinks is some kind of attack or badness.

I suggest you:

- Update the firmware on your router
- Try again.

If that doesn't work:

- Play around with the firewall settings, try turning it off for your machine (IP) and see if you still have the problem.

If you're still having problems:

- Call customer support for your router/ISP
- File a customer Support petition in EVE and see if they have better suggestions.

Every time someone writes: "Clearly, its an issue with EVE" , I laugh and cry at the same time. Your machine/configuration/combination is most likely a lot more complex than the EVE client and the possibility of you/your hardware/your setup/your ISP being at fault is a lot more likely.

I updated the firmware on the router, powered it off and let it sit. So far no issues with logging in or playing.
