Unplayable on Mac Pro with 5870

I am not sure what kind of trouble shooting I can do here. I am able to play on my Retina Macbook Pro without any trouble. However, my Mac Pro with a 5870 is unplayable. I can't play for more then 3 or 4 minutes without the game freezing up the whole machine. It requires a hard boot using the power switch.

I am running an 8 core, OS X 10.7.4 , 5870 and 10GB RAM. I have tried setting all video settings to lowest and that hasn't worked either. Are there any logs besides /var/log/system.log that I can look at ?

This post is well over a month old and there is no reply from Devs? Are you serious?

I have an ATI Radeon Card coming soon to improve the speed of graphics on my Mac Pro for work ... will it run EVE? I would like to know if there is an answer to this question.

Please Devs, take note. If I get the card and I can't run EVE, I will certainly have to cancel my accounts. Work comes first.

I run the same system with a 5770 and have no troubles.....

That being said, i couldn't install stuff for quite a while, would have to install on my laptop and then xfer over to mac Pro

It turns out there was alot of older Final Cut pro drivers for sound and video that were on my drive and never got removed, probably because I didn't upgrade every time FCP came out with a new version.

It took me weeks of scrubbing and looking at console logs to find everything.
