My teenage son plays EvE. Sometimes he gets this carebearish ideas about mining AFK... so I logged with some alts and ganked him. I felt sorry from popping his ship, but I felt I did the right thing.

You know, I don't let him play on school days... only on weekends and just for a few hours. And he he's gonna use those few hours to AFK mine? No sir...

I talked with some friends to take my son under their wing... he's now doing tackling jobs and learning how to use actual teamwork and voice comms which I think are good skills that could serve him well in RL later on...

As much as I love ruining mining ships, if my father had done that to me I would have logged into his account and cancelled his subscription, as well as disconnecting the CPU fan and turning down the GFX fan as far as it would go within management software restrictions.

So you would throw a temper tantrum and possibly destroy an expensive machine as revenge. Well if you were my kid and you decided to take it out of game I believe the proper term would be 'beaten like a red headed stepchild'.

Not to troll or anything but this sounds like complete BS to get attention, if real then you shoudl have done it a long time ago.

Hmm, first I read that you have an affinity toward pirating peoples missions ingame (not a bad thing really), then I read that you have been neglecting your GF's needs, now i'm reading that you are denying your child the direction he wants to play EvE online which is a game that has several of different ways to play it. Perhaps he wanted to learn how to be a marketing tycoon....

it's bad enough that people in EvE online are constantly punished for not playing the game the way others demand they play it. So, you felt it was necessary to bring that frame of mind into RL? I always thought EvE online was supposed to be a personal adventure (although fictional), not "Chairman Mao's Rules and Bylaws to the Galaxy." ( IE: MY WAY OR ELSE!)
