Perhaps it makes some sense from a roleplaying perspective, but from a gameplay perspective it doesn't make much sense at all.

And if you want to take it that far, I could easily argue that since you're not killing any of the NPC's, that as soon as you leave, they just re-capture the base since they are still right there after all.

Anyway idea is that players fight about systems. so NPC should never be on any important role in FW.

Farming can be easily stopped by player actions, it requires lot of people, but it is still possible if people actually want to do it.

CCP wanted to boost attack plexing, and they sure managed to make it popular. Now they should just give little reward for defenders to make it balanced.

See, that's the thing though. Farming can be stopped, for about 2 minutes, while the player chases that little warp core stabbed frigate around the system. After the player is gone (because let's face it, he'll never catch it), that frigate goes back and farms plexes again. That's the problem. NPC's should be important to FW, they are part of the enemy "army" after all. Having to kill the NPC's would mean that people would be taking ships into the plexes that are SUPPOSED to capture the plexes, not the little dinky warp core stabbed/no weapons frigates that go around farming everything now.

Then if you get caught, you better hope you have friends on stand by. Or you bring friends with you and a fight ensues. Or you're cleverly PVP fit and all the NPC's are dead so you kill the enemies as they enter. Or any other number of PVP scenarios that would happen.

As it is now, the only PVP that happens with these farming frigates is

Enemy warps in, plex frigate warps out. Really interesting, right?

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia
