sad thing is that you can not use any links in most plexes after off grid nerf !

At least i'll have a reason to log the damnation alt in. Right now its gathering dust because of all the legions out there.

I am totally going to warp to a major plex, roll right in and pew with....... oh no that's right. I'll just let the account die... silly me.

is everyone aware about the battlecruiser 99% reduction in cpu for warfare links? cheaper than tech 3s and they fit in majors!

tbh i'd like to see a cruiser with the same bonus when/if they remove OGB.

Nothing in writing, no dev posts, just a few people on the forums starting the same threads over and over thinking that if they stir up enough **** CCP will make a game change that will completely kill one of the best reasons people have for keeping a 2nd account active.

There's a reason there hasn't been a single dev post on this, just a quote here and there among the countless threads from the same people begging to nerf it.

it would be a great change if they truly went on with removing off grid boosting.

It would be glorious that people would actually have to put their assets into harms way if they want to benefit from them !

But im sure the "elite pvp" folk will cry rivers , lakes and whole oceans over this and be all like "Im so gonna quit mah boost accounts CCP ... JUST YOU WAIT !!"

I kinda like the idea of boosters having to be on grid. Would give me a reason to train more leadership skills :P

You must be totally awesome or something to get accused of using boosts all the time.

If brute force isn't working, you're just not using enough.

I foreseee lots of people unsubbing as their supposed reputation rested solely on their double link alts and in actual fact they are pretty damn terrible players.

don't ganglinks go in the highslots? i feel like any dedicated ship to links will be trash in every thing ( except tank and oh hey giving boosts)
might as well put warp stabs on it.

This. I always have an extra utility high slot left when fitting a battle cruiser and end up putting something like a small nuet or drone augmenter. Or canes would take out the two nuets for a link. I personally love it when I hear that someone has a link on a battlecruiser. It shows forethought and team spirit.

On the other hand the tech 3 boosting alts in my opinion are extremely lame. I now a good number of 'pvp' pilots that wont undock or jump into a system without one. Even when flying a freaking thrasher (i'm looking at you johnpaul).

Should they be nerfed? Hell yes

Will they be nerfed? Probably not. why would CCP remove a feature that ensures ALOT of people have an extra account? It just doesn't make good business sense from CCP.

The boost is marginal without the effectiveness bonus that Command Ships/T3's get and with most battlecruiser fits it means smaller guns or a weaker tank, but in general typically ends up botching your fit. In most instances it's simply not worth it; I am however excited to see Command Ships have a purpose again (aside from sitting in POSs).

Anyone have a link to where this is any kind of development for even SiSi- saying it was brought up in CSM minutes doesn't make it a 'thing' and CCP/CSM have been kicking this around for literally 5 years.
