Thats why I said it would give blobs a good run. Yeah the jovians are good as a mysterious race but we really need more lore on the whole atm.

There are other ancient and mostly forgotten about races in Eve that could be used. Look at Sleepers for example, before WH noone knew who they where, and still somewhat don't. I'm all for expanding the lore and adding some nice changes, but I don't believe going Jove is the way to go.

Also "a good run" is a understatement on how difficult it would be to destroy a Jovian ship. Impossible would be a better term I would use.

shhh.. Thats a secret Lol

We only have stations and outposts in the Polaris system, which does not have any gates to the rest of the Universe, including Jove space.

Screenshot of a CCP station please.
And screenshot of a Jove Station.

Along time ago when eve was very new you could set the station that you wanted your clone to appear when you died. So you could pick a station in jove space. The people that did this befor ccp fixed it so you could not do it any more reported that there was nothing there just empty stations and empty space.

In fact it was when the Amarr attacked the Jovians that it was revealed just how powerful the Jovians are. The subsequent ass **** that followed is what gave the Minmatar their chance at freedom.

By the way, since we're already talking, do you want to buy a rifter? I've got the cheapest rifters in Metropolis. If you can find a cheaper rifter, buy it!

Apparently my theory has been shot down before it could be implemented...by my C.E.O. They claim my idea is impossible. But here it is anyway...we scan for wormholes...and they have openings leading to other systems. I was intending to travel to the fringe systems near jove space in the hopes of EVENTUALLY finding a WH that had a portal into a jove system. Then it would simply be a matter of finding one of the VACANT and EMPTY jove stations such as the ones in M-FDTD, jumping back to my HQ jumpclone...thereby leaving a clone AND a ship in a jove station. It would require MONTHS of scanning and exploration to find a WH suitable. But I am told there ARE NO WH's in jove space...at all. Since he has NEVER visited there I remain dubious...and fully intend on attempting the IMPOSSIBLE anyway. Isnt that what explorers do?

I admire your tenacity... however there are some corps in eve that are really persistent (and that's an understatement).

Check this out... it's a Rooks & Kings video about the Infinity Gun exploit. In the context of this thread, think about how many wormholes these guys went through to find their opponent again. I think if there was a WH to Jove space a bookmark to the entrance would have shown up on the sell forums at some point.

Don't let me stop you though. You can't KNOW there's not a WH entrance to Jove space until you've checked every WH system in the game... Big smile

Yes.... check the wormholes....

What a great idea! Certainly no one has thought of it before.

So odd thy none of those null sec holes don't lead to Jove space though. I wonder why.

I can't set destination of course.
Started a thread about it and got the usual knowledgeable sounding content free guff from people who ruin games by knowing everything.

Hope the Jove never appear or become accessible, knowledge is to curiosity what the ocean is to a candle.

Would be a nice special event.

JOVE attacks 0.0, 1 day only folks, wonderful prizes to be won. Just step over the corpses to enter Lol

Give the blobs a good run, give them 1 off great modules and implants but make the Jove like they are in the lore.

From my understanding of Eve lore, Jove ships are so powerful that a handful of them could destroy an entire fleet with ease. There is a good reason why Jovian ships aren't actually in the game, and why they shouldn't be.

Jovians should and always remain the mysterious race.

That was back during VaK'Atioth. We've come a long way since then. With the advent of tech 3 ships and advances in other areas, we stand a much better chance against the Jove than previously. A blob from nul could wipe out a small fleet of theres. Toe to toe though, would be another story...

The lack of any Jove content over the years makes them irrelevant to the game. It would be better just to delete that area of the map off.

...Bernie Nator? I take it by your comment that you HAVE searched EVERY single WormHole in eve. You speak with such condescension to my enthusiasm. You couldnt have POSSIBLY missed a single exit? I am undaunted by your scathing remarks...my search will continue until there are NO WormHoles left uncharted and notated. Only then will I believe you. Besides, I am not asking you to join me in my quest. You stand to lose NOTHING, except the time you waste in your attempts to belittle me. But by all means, please continue if it brings you pleasure. As to the rest of you, I remain grateful for your input and information sharing...I honestly appreciate it. In truth tho, Bernie may well be correct in his assumption...I lose nothing in the exploit however...and I gain a great deal. Experience, knowledge, and practice...LOTS of practice...

Unlocked? Try not developed. All the signs point to NOTHING being done with them. Maybe if DUST gives them a little more budget they'll go out, buy some balls, and figure out an implementation. 'Till then it's just a tease... Big smileBig smile

No offence to CCP though... they're actually doing a great job of late. Kiss kiss...

Because they have the Ph34r. From a lore standpoint... the Amarrans raised the most advanced and large fleet to counter the Jove in their own space... and they still got their a55es handed to them. ...on their own turf. The Jove pretty much created CONCORD, so nobody wants to f'uk with them. It would upset the entire balance of New Eden, and anyone who stood against them would likely loose. Loosing power isn't in the interest of any leader... so the empires leave the Jove alone and maintain their stranglehold on power. ...from a lore standpoint that is your answer.
