I get my plex from shattered crystal in us dollars which works out to around £11.50 per plex, but at £7.50 per month i'm seriously concidering a 1 year subBig smile

Yup, and they can take advantage of a little flaw in human nature that makes people buy when prices are high (instead of when prices are low, when they should). So they get people to spend more money on PLEX when plex is expensive. The guy who wants ISK will buy PLEX from CCP and cash it in, because he gets more ISK. The guy who wants to sub and pays for PLEX with isk he grinds might just swipe the credit card instead, to save himself the extra grind. And the speculator buys, because he thinks the price will go up more. It's a win-win, for CCP.

Keeps things simple as well as you only have to worry about renewing your sub once a year.
