I've now taken it upon myself to count all the ashtrays in each CQ, because I've lost control of my life.

Gallente: http://i.imgur.com/g3EoY.png

Seven! Shocked tut, tut... Also some cereal.

Minmatar: http://i.imgur.com/4skBJ.png

I'd say it's not as bad as gallente, but there are buckets of ammo lying around everywhere. I didn't know my item hanger equated to, "what can I stuff in my room?"

Amarr: http://i.imgur.com/UcR0K.png

One. That's it. There's not even any other set pieces besides the statues outside. Not even shelves!

This place sucks....X

and everyone knows that smoke shops are totally about smoking tobacco out of pieces of glass art, right?

or did you mean like, an *actual* tobacco shop, like the snooty cigar-kind?

It would be very nice, and maybe easy for coffee table options. Wouldn't it be nice to have certain trade goods like long limb roses, or spiced wine on the table? Just don't have any plutonium out in the open!

erm, pretty sure its "long limb roes" which I'm pretty sure would be substantially less romantic than roses.

So... you are complaining about a background item that is not even interactive?

I would complain that my avatar isn't able to smoke... or drink... or do anything else besides walking and sitting! Blink

<---Trying to quit smoking IRL.

And I'll be the first to tell the OP to just chill the f out, already.

Just show as for all other religions, those manipulated entire populations, used and some religions still use fear and horrible/inhuman middle age methods to dictate populations behaviour with no respect for life or individuals dignity.

Religions by their all fatso mega rich megalomaniacs leading them no matter witch, are no good for freedom or humans, they're worst than politics, killed more people and harmed entire regions more than whatever number or deaths by nuclear weapons or even more than single WW II (despite WW II dead numbers being in a smaller period of time)
Not even talking about all the obscurantism period where human civilisation and progression stagnated for over 850 years and science/arts were considered as devil art leading to the death of some brilliant individuals.

Religions no matter witch just just be completely abolished, they have no place and they will never be forgiveable for everything they did/still do in our days.

Only science should prevail.

The non smoking quarters are extra. You need an EVE gold account for this.

My personal take on smoking is a pretty negative one. If smoking harmed you, and only you, I would have absolutely no trouble with it. You can do anything else you wish, no matter how addictive or deadly, and you wouldn't get a peep from me. The issue with smoking is...well...smoke, and its effects on others.

Case in point, in summer time when my neighbour two doors down gets on his front porch and starts smoking, I have to shut all the windows in my house because the prevalent wind carries the smoke RIGHT into my windows and all the front-facing rooms end up reeking of tobacco. He might very well end up killing me with second-hand smoke at some point. But since he's technically smoking on his property, there's f***all I can do to stop him. And being a pig, he refused to even consider it when I talked to him about it.

Beyond that, I really have no beef with smoking. In fact I think it should be tax-free and free coupons should be handed out to smokers. To speed things along, so to speak.

So OP I agree with you there. There's really no need for an ash tray in a game where you can't smoke anyway. Definitely sends the wrong message.

While your personal experience is unfortunate, I think in the context of EVE, it sends the perfect message. That of course being, you're going to die eventually anyway.

FTFY (at least, judging from the number in the Gall CQ)

It's kind of an odd message, thinking about it.

So, people complain because there's a pixel ashtray in a pixel room, in a game about spaceships ?
No complaints about killing though hey ? I mean, an ashtray is so like "OMG", but death is cool. Hunting people down in a game is cool, killboards are cool.

I laugh when I think about how Op wants to worry about the image an ashtray portrays in a game, but nothing about death and destruction. Incredibly ridiculous, in the extreme. You have your priorities wrong. Very wrong.

I refuse to transport drugs, slaves, etc. I abhor killing and when in combat I try to disable my foe only. I have also formed protests in Jita against the cruel treatment of the Sansha. I perform a small ritual before harming asteroids.

In space they can't hear you scream, but I whisper my prayers for the lost souls of EVE anyway.

Joke's on you, I switched from "analog" cigarettes to electronic nicotine vaporizers (almost exclusively PG-based liquids, VG sucks) almost a year ago, but I still have a couple of ashtrays in my room - they're just full with other junk now instead of ciggy butts.

P.S. I still have an opened and mostly full pack of regular cigarettes in the room from a year ago. I just feel no need to light any up. Got all the nicotine I want and then some without them.
