Retriever and procurer selling under cost

Only yesterday someone was telling me the hulk is the best solo miner. And flying between belts I see so many of them mining alone.

If brute force isn't working, you're just not using enough.

Please Note: Any advice given comes with the caveat that nothing will be suitable for every situation.

Outside the market hubs retriever prices are well above new build costs already.

avg. traded numbers NOW are irrelevant since they all done by speculation. I agree that the demand will change after its an overhauled ship now, but they also die a lot less now

Considering that there will be simply so many ships on the market soon, it doesnt matter if 100, 200 or 1000 get sold per day, it will still be highly inflatened

Indeed.

More reasonable long term estimate for actual usage would be to look at covetors prior to the start of patch speculation.

Don't limit yourself to thinking the Procurer will only be sold to miners.

The new Procurer is already being used as a can-flipper and bait ship. The darn thing packs a full flight of light drones (which do some nice DPS when coupled with a pair of drone damage amplifiers) and a hefty tank.

Who knows what other use someone will come up with for it? Maybe we'll even see them in the next Alliance Tournament... lol.

Barges are too cheap.
Minerals are getting too cheap.
Fuel is going to be way too cheap.
PLEX will go up in value as a result.
CCP win.

Not a bright future for those wanting to play for free...

Procurer BPOs are underpriced too, since as it turns out CCP did increase their base price, but they just allowed the market price to rise instead of setting it. Eve Central has em up around 1.2b in outer ring, and apparently the baseprice in the database is 1.4 so they should rise some more.

Course when all those blueprints in build come out and need to be disposed of that might change a thing or two...though they won't be visible on the market, at least.

Had you been in the business of building stuff for miners (mackinaws, strip miners, crystals, etc) you could be playing free for a very long time.

Giving other people what they want when they want it is still a very profitable business.

Being an Incursion runner I find myself doing ALOT of traveling across all the HI SEC empire space... looks like to me retrievers lowest prices are very rarely under 20M & often in the 30's. I'm surprised how quickly the prices caught up & wish I had bought more them 20 of them at 12 million the day b4 the change

prices in bum**** nowhere are pretty irrelevant, Jita is still barely 20m for retrievers. Procurers are on the rise but that'll be crushed in short order starting in a couple weeks when the first big batches start coming out...

I agree with corestwo on this. I've got 2700 retrievers coming out September 10th. Moving them to far off places is no trivial matter.

I'm currently building 24k procurer and 10k retriever. I didn't expect to sell any of those ships before at least two years passed.

However, especially the procurer price will probably drop below its reprocessing value soon and won’t rise above it for many years. I might end up reprocessing the procurers eventually. Too many people jumped on the bandwagon. People probably build enough procurers for the next 20 years. Without inflation that’s an interest rate of only 11% per year. Also who knows what’s going to happen to mining barges within the next 20 years anyway. The game is only 10 years old after all.

The retriever price on the other hand has more realistic chances to reach the new material prices within a few years I guess.

I strongly, strongly encourage you to reprocess the ships as soon as possible.

But what happends if those people run out of isk? They dont want to pay for this game obvius.... So they simply quit. I think for any long tern addict ccp need to recruit atleast 5 peoplle.

On short term ccp wins, on long term ccp loses
