The url link is the result about ccp's partner discuss the link between Serenity and Dust514 with china ccp.

At China, very few people have PS3. So the link between Serenity and Dust514 must be PC to PC.

I played dust during the beta last weekend or was it the weekend before last i dont remember but i was alittle disappointed in it . I understand it was beta but TBH I played for an hour or so and said this is lame and went back to eve. I will most likey give it another try once its out of beta to see if it has imporved but if it hasnt then I wont likely play it unless it does come out for the PC.

Just my 2 cents.

A bunch of word that ultimately constitutes "not interested".

MS wasn't interested in allowing CCP to host on their own servers.
MS wasn't interested in making it affordable.
MS wasn't interested in letting CCP have control of their MT currency.

MS simply wasn't interested in being a worthwhile partner.

I didn't need to post a wall of text to make one simple point.
MS wasnt interested.

1/10 for your troll attempt. Thankfully your post is so clearly disingenuous that there is little to no risk of you being taken seriously.

Final Fantasy XI, and Everquest come to mind readily. But don't get me wrong, I'm not arguing for Eve to be on consoles, I don't think IT would work there. But I will say I was gaming LLOOONNNGGG before I ever got a PC, so...yeah.

I don't buy that for a second. That's like saying that if there had been no Lord of the Rings, then D&D wouldn't exist. Saying that discounts a slew of authors, Robert Howard and Lovecraft come to mind with little prompting, and the work they did. In other words, if it's going to exist, then nothing will stop that.

can you name any major first person shooter that was on console before PC? Not sure where you are going with your D&D analogy because D&D was a board game, then a PC game before it was ever on console. When I refer to a First Person Shooter, the 1st major offline games I can remember were being Wolfenstein and Doom, which orginally, came out for PC before any console was ever capable of doing so. You may not but it for a second but I'll buy that for HISTORY

Or for that matter name a shooter that could have been made without the existence of the microchip (which only developed because people wanted smaller (than a house) computers).

But that wasn't the argument.

The argument was that, without PCs, FPSes wouldn't exist, as if the genre would have been unimaginable without PCs. Just because they came out there first doesn't mean that this was the only way the genre could have been invented, and claiming that it would have been impossible to invent it on consoles is patently absurd.

There were plenty of FPS-precursors long before the genre was codified through Wolf3D and Doom — the entire lightgun arcade segment was already there and the big leap on PC was one of having more processing power available to not just use static backdrop environments, not one of coming up with the the basic concept of an FPS. This first-person shooter was out on consoles eight years before Wolf3D, for instance…

So as Jimmy was saying, if it's going to exist, then nothing will stop that.

If Dust were on pc I would play it. I enjoy fps and the fact that its linked with EVE makes it more intriguing.
Don't get me wrong I love playstation (**** xbox) but I don't really play console games much and don't really want to buy a ps3 just for dust.

Never cared for PC games myself.

Single-player console Eve FTW!

Do not assume anything above this line was typed by me. Nerf the Truth, it's inconvenient.

I agree, EVE would be much more emergent if it were single player and on console. Like the wii.

Roll I think the both of you knew what I meant.

I want DUST to do well, but most FPS games are just better on the PC.

I have BF3 for both PC and PS3. PS3 because the controls are more fun and for me, easier to use. But I really enjoy the PC version for map size, match sizes and graphics quality.

I bought a PS3 style controller for the PC version but just cannot seem to get it to work right (which is a major frustration with PC games sometimes), hardware issues, driver issues and such. I play my PS3 version more often because I have friends who play that version.
