Hi

I am trying to get this working for quite some time now... I had several different problems until now, but today I tried the brand new wine1.5 version, upgraded my system and started fresh.... and I get this error...
Installation worked fine, patch worked, repair.exe worked, then the launcher flashes up and then silence... ;)

What I did:

  • fresh wine1.5 install
  • uname -a --> Linux base 3.0.0-12-generic #20-Ubuntu SMP Fri Oct 7 14:56:25 UTC 2011 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
  • winetricks corefonts vcrun2005 vcrun2008 vcrun2010
  • d3dx9_36 set to native.
  • WINEARCH=win32
  • installed the game using files on my computer, then updated and used reapir.exe


Not in that order.

I would really love to get EVE working on linux, then I could work while doing afk-stuff.... And all this trouble makes me want to use archlinux again...
