Need help settling a debate. (assigning fighters)

Wheather or not it goes off the skill of the carrier pilot or the person assigned to.

Here's my evidence "When you assign someone fighters, whoever you assigned them to has THEIR Fighter skill applied to YOUR fighters, so if they have not trained Fighters then YOUR fighters do base damage only."

I would believe the eve university quote is right. (Because it is so official.) I didn't see opposing info in the other thread, though I may have missed it.. The one guy's statement could be his oppinion but not hard fact.

My oppinion would have been the same.
I had always assumed the carrier skills applied, because even a shuttle can have fighter drones asigned. I may have been just plain wrong.

It's the carrier pilot's fighter skill that is applied to assigned fighters. It may also be helpful to note that the Thanatos'/Nyx's damage bonus does not apply to assigned fighters.
