Clear Skies. On a level most movies from big companies cant pull off. Great work to all involved.

Signatures wer cooler when we couldn't remove them completely.

Clear Skies rules! Required watching for any EVE player.

For an interesting interview with John Rourke, give this a listen: http://wiki.eveuniversity.org/w/images/1/1d/E-UNI_Ian_Chisholm-Clear_Skies.mp3

We've had 20+ eve players doing the triple, popcorn and beer.

A great achievement, utter respect.

Every time I hear music from those movies, I end up with a massive silly grin on my face. My two young sons love the movies. The emotional link to those movies for anyone who has watched them is amazingly solid.

The skill, love, dedication, and soul Ian poured into those movies cannot be understated.

Its to the point that whenever I see another Source-based machima (there are a few), the first thing I notice is that the voices are all wrong and that they look like crap in comparison to the simply top-notch quality work Ian did.

I cannot imagine another EVE based series having the staying power of the Clear Skies trilogy, nor can I truly comprehend the massive effort that goes in to such a production. The fact that he was able to produce these three movies without going insane, getting divorced, or having his brain melt simply amazes me.

Clear Skies is a wonderful piece of work.

It actually got my wife 'interested' in EVE, which is an acomplishment.

As she is a media person (2k5 video tapes and over 2k DVDs when i met her) she commented on the _very_ tight script with good pacing.

CCP should hire this guy, or atleast GIVE him £££££ to make Clear Skies 4 (with the proviso that HE has complete control of the end product so as to keep it consistent with 1, 2 and 3).

If CCP wants a high rate on return of investment, this is very close to the top of the stack.

+10 if i can figure out how to do it.

Tedric.

Agree on this and also: PLEX !!!!!

Loved them all, seen them two or three times.

Maybe CCP should an in house series - with downloads costing AUR?

A good start would be to watch felicity day in dragon age

write a list of what is awful (get a big pad) - make clear skies 4 and then recheck list and compare!

He doesn't already work for CCP why? Anyone with that much talent, drive and love of EVE NEEDS to be working there. And he should ALSO be at the Alliance tourney as a guest commentator at the very least!

Perhaps CCP's recent trend towards corporate austerity wouldn't allow them to pay what he's truly worth.

This is single handedly the greatest fan created series in any MMORPG.

The sheer re-watchability (yes I made that word up) is one characteristic in this movie because each time you watch it, you catch little things that Ian threw in that really makes each viewing worth it.

Such as... pay attention to the screens, the surroundings, and some of the lingo. Like.
"This is Captain John Rourke of the Clear Skies broadcasting on Caldari emergency channel Oscar Mike Foxtrot Golf"
...
"OMFG"

Kinda a shame someone can't take the reins and make a forth, because in all, the ending of CS3 was rather open. Especially considering that Jovian space is a myth even amongst the role players of EVE Online. But even then, would be a dead-end storyline. But who knows.

All in all, I constantly share this series with players new to EVE Online and overall just positive feedback on it, and also improves the view some players have on the game. Its just fun.

High quality films, and also a nostalgic flashback of the GFX EVE used to be back in 2008/ Apocrypha.

EDIT: And the Tempest Fleet Issue... the wingie bits are no longer square, I guess Charlie finally got tired of them and bolted the old ones back on.

Should have killed off John Rourke in the final part to save the lives of his friends, not fly off to never never land.

Other than that huge disappointment in the final scene(s), really high quality entertainment and total and absolute kudos to Ian for attempting something new for the community.
