CCP served something weird to us at the cologne gathering

Was a fun event CCP, but we have to talk again about the food (and the lack of caldari keychains !)

i mean, seriously, WTF ?

Thats supposed to be a "Mettigel", something popular in germany from the 1950, minced pork (mett)with onions, seasoned with salt and pepper, eaten raw with baguette or on breadrolls. its should look like a hedgehog (igel)

tasted great, but i could not get rid of the feeling of eating something "different"

i actually fear whether or not its allowed to post these pictures on this forum Roll

I've eaten it in the past, too many onions for my taste though, frikadeller is much more like it.

The important thing is did they have Kartoffelsalat, preferably with bacon bits in it?

Heh I know, it's cooked for a start P

the raw meat thing is what I found the most off putting about it, the amount of onion came a close second I like them finely chopped, not dirty great lumps.

nope, mett is actually pretty common around here, you just cant keep it for more than a day (or you have to add breadcrumbs and mustard and make frikadellen :) )

Well in the out of pod experience. Some Devs mention trying to catch a stray kitten.

The main thing though, is they found out the mom is there and other cats, so they bit off more then could chew. I do wonder what happened to them, with there just being too many cats, and no place to put them.

Raw fish in sushi or a medium or rare steak or burger I am fine with, but the thought of eating raw pork or chicken gives me the heebie-jeebies.

Raw pork - Trichinosis
Raw Chicken - Salmonella

Of course raw fish and beef can give you tapeworm and many other lovely gastrointestinal problems.

The raw pork is still weird to me.
