I think that CCP should hire Ian to make movies for them!!

He says he needs time and money, well ccp has lots of both!! :)

Great spotlight for a FANTASTIC series, the best ever!! Now I gotta rewatch it yet again!

+1 for Clear Skies 4 (and Kickstarter is a great suggestion, I'd pledge!)

with more than 300.000 views to its name, the series can safely be considered quite popular.

They forget about the free download and me sharing it with friends. Plus the re-playable value of this series.

Awesome movies, and I would love to see more like them. With Incarna released since the making of these movies, hopefully it would be possible to use in game characters.

I will say that watching this series a few months ago was greatly enjoyable.

I've plunked quite a few of my Non Eve Playing friends in front of it and they seemed to enjoy it immensely.

I will say I wonder what sort of possibilities lie ahead for EVE related Machinima. With the new Carbon Models and potential interaction VIA dust.

It might be interesting, no?

A toast to Clear Skies, for all his hard work so we may enjoy it with mirth.

Clear Skies is a wonderful piece of work.

It actually got my wife 'interested' in EVE, which is an acomplishment.

As she is a media person (2k5 video tapes and over 2k DVDs when i met her) she commented on the _very_ tight script with good pacing.

CCP should hire this guy, or atleast GIVE him £££££ to make Clear Skies 4 (with the proviso that HE has complete control of the end product so as to keep it consistent with 1, 2 and 3).

If CCP wants a high rate on return of investment, this is very close to the top of the stack.

+10 if i can figure out how to do it.

How about....you (CCP), put it in as a Movie we can watch on the Captain's Quarter TV Screen. WITH the ability to click on that screen and make it fullscreen (in terms of the game window size).


And I think CCP should allow EVE Movie Makers access to their CGI making tools, with legal agreements and all that jazz.

I mean, we all seem to want the CQ to offer more things, and one of the most requested things is the ability to watch shows on the screen.

So...we have all these EVE Machinima makers......we have all these requests to give players the ability to view content....


...EVETV!

By CCP allowing the players access to their tools, players could use the musical scores...like the kind you (the public) is not suppose to use (Two Steps From Hell, Immediate Music, X-Ray Dog, etc); these are usually only for Commercial Sale...meaning you got to be a company.

I agree completely! Sorry CCP but this dude makes far more engaging and epic videos than you guys have put out so far!
And just think...what could be done with the Clear Skies crew and the possibilities opened up by DUST 514!?

Watched it many times and always first choice if the hamsters go on strike.

Although its sad that Ian isn't planning another one, but I'm sure we all understand his reasons...

Some in-game lore about Ian or Clear Skies would be awesome!

if CCP ever incorporate the jovians in some way or another into the game, they need to make john rourke their ambassador.

i've played this game for a while, and seen some pretty creative uses of the EVE universe.
i like this one best.

so far.

this will be hard to top.
if no one ever does better than "Clear Skies" it will not be because of lack of talent, it will be because this is so good.
but i have faith in the people of New Eden to excel the excellent.

dare to be bold pilot.

CCP should create "Clear Skies" Tempest with the top wingy bit shot off with special ship bonuses for Ian to use in EvE.
