I'm sitting in Null and I notice my clone is a few days from needing updating. I could just update it...but WTH!

I JC into a clone with no impants, hop in a shuttle and decide to take a visit to.....hmmmmm....Angel SPace! Yeaaaaa That's it!

I plot a course to a station that will accept me for a lvl 1 mission juuuusssstttt in case it is feasible. I could tool around a bit maybe.

I also have the advantage of coming in from the 'southwest' instead of from hisec.

SO I hop in and start flying. Plenty of blues for awhile...then not much of anything. As I get within 2 jumps of Angel Space I hop into a system with a non-blue frigate at the gate. He tries to lock me but my shuttle is to fast. I warp to some random outer planet and head to the next gate. Nervous (well, not really this IS a suicide run after all) and hit the gate. No less than 20 ships gate camping. They had 2 bubbles up but obviously expecting me from a different direction so I hit the gate and jump.

Pretty sure I will be dead on the other side but....NOTHING...and noone in local! As my shuttle starts to warp off the horde jumps in. Local spikes (and I count...to 42!) FORTY TWO!

These poor pathetic bored bastards then proceed to chase me for 5 systems. A SHUTTLE...and 42 people chasing me. C'mon guys...a bit pathetic don't you think?

So, I get into Angel Space. Not a blue in sight. Oh well, that answers my question. Definitely hostile space. Warp bubbles everywhere (though not guarded) and the market sucks. SO I tool around a few systems checking it out. Locals definitely don't like me there but boo-hoo.

Think about running some missions but the market sucks. Look at map to see where to sight see some more.

About this time, local spikes. Huge. I pop out with my shuttle and see large amounts of ships around...warp out to safe spot. Head to a gate and try to see bubbles from dscan. nothing.

Jump through and make 3 more system jumps then make a safe spot . Local spikes again.

Admiring these guys for their persistance but more than a little pitying them for their boredom. I decide that I was getting bored. Not much see, danger everywhere, not much of a market. Time to splode the pod and upgrade the clone.

Hope you enjoyed hearing about my vacation Big smile If not, got you to waste your time! :)

That is rather funny. Be funnier if you led them into an ambush.

Entertaining Story. Just one thing. You don't really know they were chasing YOU.

Lots of time roaming gangs stop when a scout reports something coming in and you'd be surprised by the stuff you can get out of a shuttle wreck, even in Null Sec. Also, even in place that aren't true "pipes" there is usually only one or 2 ways to get from a to b, so it could very well seem like you're being "chased".

What if that FC is getting intel on another gang somewhere and trying to cut it off, for example Lots of things are possible. Including the fact that , hell, they could actually have been chasing you lol.

True this, but I think they were chasing me. My conviction comes from them trying to get me in a station.

I was thinking of jumping into a shuttle and head to null space and see what's there.

Apparently there is lots of boredom, unfriendly ppl, and archaic market.

Thanks for the story.

It was entertaining and you've saved me from wasting my time.

That was Angels. I know other NPC pirate space is better from experience. However, they are all unfriendly unless you are blue to the main residents...and then it is only somewhat unfriendly cuz still nuets around.

Pirate NPC space is fun so long as you blue to the main powers-that-be.

Newb question but why would a bubble stop you from jumping at a gate you're in range of? Thought bubbles just stopped you from warping away.

The bubbles were set to catch you short of the jump gate if you jumped direct from gate to gate. She didn't, smartly, take the direct gate and therefore missed the bubbles.
