What can I do with this stuff?

I found Frozen Plant Seeds and data sheets, and salvaged a few things things like Broken Sterile Conduits. I thought I could reprocess the the electronic parts but its only giving me the option to trash them.

What can I do with them, or should I just save them for like a mission that might want that kind of stuff?Ugh

1. Trade goods are used as basic form of trading. They are one of the few things on the market bought and sold by npc entities.

2. Salvage components are used in the production of rigs. This is done by players.

I'd 100% sell the trade good rather than hoard them.

Regarding the salvaged goods. I comes down to how well you can manufacture goods. If you have low skills in that area, you'll make more money selling the components than you would building and selling the rigs themselves. Very similar to ore with regard to lower refinering skills often get a better price selling the raw ore than they do refining and selling the minerals.

I have seen a few players keep certain trade goods for RP purposes. I think the slaver hound is one of the most popular items owned by players although I would prefer a janitor on board my ships. I would imagine having booze, tobacco and exotic dancers also could make a statement. Just be aware that some items (radioactive materials, slaves, drugs, etc.) can be considered illegal in some systems.

The general options, from laziest and lowest-profit to most effort and profit:

Lazy as hell: Just sell everything to buy orders. If you ever need any of that junk you can just buy it again.

Pretty lazy: Check market, sell things to buy orders that are close enough to market value, create sell orders on things that aren't.

Efficient/Optimal effort: return ratio: Remember what doesn't sell for much, sell that yo buy orders in-system. Save the stuff that might sell better, shove it in an industrial ship, occasionally ship it to a market hub, do one of the lazy metas there.

Nitpicky: Do the efficient thing, but keep _all_ of your junk and then verify market value before selling.

Most profitable technically, but your inventory hates you: Keep everything until you build a POS/start a manufacturing chain using the materials. Sell/used finished materials or use station for research/whatever. Curse yourself for stockpiling for a year to save yourself like a week's worth of materials. Die alone and friendless, you obsessive nerd.

Thats what I was thinking too. Just save the junk the then dump it on the market when I see a good price.
