Favorite: Purifier (cause it is the only one I can fly atm)
Best looking: Nemisis or Manticore (they both sexy)
Don't care: Hound (its slave junk)

Hound: best slots, best fitting, best damage type (EX, to armor).
Purifier: best slots, best damage type (EM, to shields).
Manticore: poor slots, better CPU for midslot utility (tackle etc.)
Nemesis: poor slots, worse CPU for midslot utility.

How some people can list the Purifier last with it's EM-bonus to lob missiles right into the resist holes of Drakes, Rokhs, Maels and Canes while it has 3 lows for fitting mods when needed, that is beyond me.

Because often those drakes will fit an em hardener not just all invulns Blink And omg Nos are you conceding that the ships you listed are used more heavily than any others.Shocked

Anyway, not a bad assessment though, Nos SmileP

I rank them according to speed and agility, because these ships have no tank but you still want them to somehow survive. In that regard

HOUND
Manticore
purifier
.
.
.
the whatsit.Sad (pretty, arguably best damage type, but agility blows and hard to fit)

ECM, yo Smile.

I'm not saying gtfo-ability is bad, but it came up in some other recent thread (i have been posting so dreadfully much on these god forsaken forums this summer that i can't even keep track of myself anymore)...

I said something like: just because a ship lack conventional tank it doesn't mean you only have to resort to gank-tactics. There are several ways to raise staying-power on ships like bombers. Control-tactics is one, so that ECM-remark is only half in jest. You can easily combine grid-control with range, sig-resolution relatives and disengagement-tactics, to do more than just gank-run or bomb a structure. In fact, that's how many of the old covert groups used to play. It's very underutilized in today's covert communities though.

Sig tanking, yo. No really, it works.

Agreed. AB plus both DP and oversized AB.

Yeah, thus why damps actually get some use here. Unbonused ecm is really rather poor, by design and rightly so. But even a ****** 30-something percent range damp might allow you to kite a target, and that is where the agility and speed with a mwd matter.

Also, for bombing runs agility is very important.

For looks I would have to rank the whateveritscalled the best, with Manticore second. But I don't want to fly a pretty pixel ship that will only become a sad-face pixel.

Side story:

I had a Purifier tackle my Tengu once. (Rat specific hardners, huge EM hole) As soon as he had me, Local popped a little and the next thing I see is a Vaga and Cyna coming through the gate of my plex. They were 100 away but closing fast. He was tanking p good and I think what saved me is, he hit a roid or structure or something and stopped moving. I didn't have time to change missiles and the guy had me in serious trouble.

For solo fun in WH:

Favourite:
Manticore - best fit with bomb launcher and bombing is fun :)
Second favourite:
Purifier - best fit without bomb launcher (most deadly against other bombers, never engage it one on one with my Manticore :) )
Acceptable: Hound
Least favourite: Nemesis

I don't use SBs a lot, but I'd say a glass-cannon Hound.

Simply because of the sig radius - I don't even sigtank, just want the maximum amount of time and best agility to GTFO as soon as someone possibly posing a threat starts locking me.

Purifier with a 10mn AB is fun to fly at times.

Never had a Nemesis because of the fitting issues (looks sexy, but I don't fly ships for looks) and never tried a Manticore as far as I remember.

The Hound has been one of my favorite hulls even before its model was updated. Now it's even sexier.

Based on looks (since I only fly the Hound):
Hound
Manticore
Purifier
Nemesis

1st Hound

last Nemesis because .... well because despite looking pretty everyone else just mentioned exactly what makes it the worst or your last choice.
