TL;DR - 13 man corp gets wardecced by 214 man alliance who hires mercs; expect 2b ransom to be paid. Terrible diplomats make everything super lulzy.

Now for the story: one of my corpies decided to let a friend into corp who had gotten on the bad side of a 214 man alliance. Upon him joining the corp, the alliance decided to immediately dec my 13 man corp and demand 2b ISK for them to end the wardec. Open convo with the guy who demanded 2b for them to cancel the wardec. After a few minutes, he leaves convo on account of being terrible at diplomacy.

Next day rolls around, and I mail asking for a better diplo. Soon after, I get a convo invite from him and accept. Next, he brings in a SECOND diplomat but is not yet done, a THIRD diplomat is then brought in to try and negoiate with me. What the second and third diplomat did not know however, was any of the information that had been discussed with the first diplomat. After a few forwarded mails, they're finally all on the same page and begin discussing a ransom for me to pay.

Finally they decide that I should have to pay 3b to them due to the fact that the friend of my corpy has already evaded 2 of their wardecs and their members want blood. The decision partly comes, imo, from the fact some alliance ransomed their alliance 5b to stop deccing them. Later that night, the corpy that accepted his friend into the corp, convos one of them and gets them to lower the price to 1.75b (not going to happen) because of the effort it takes to mobilize their "180 man fleet".

Next day, the alliance decides that their 214 members are not enough, they decide to hire a 14 man merc corp to dec me as well. At this point I've only seen one or two WT in the system I'm in since the war started. And now, on day 3 of the war with the alliance, I begin receiving random convos from members saying how they're stopping me from making ISK, how they're keeping me from doing anything pretty much, etc.

Shortly after the convos stop, I receive an eve mail from diplomat number 2, he demands 2b ISK to stop the war since no one in my corp has roles, hangars are empty (some 500m in assets total), people are leaving (which was happening before any of this), and because I'M STILL MAKING ISK ON AN UNKNOWN CHARACTER.

Ok, this thread started out bad, but it doesn't have to stay that way. I think I may have a plan to salvage this thread and help resolve your problem as well.

I propose that both parties agree to arbitration. Each side presents their story and the posters of C&P will collect the tears, ask questions (u mad bro?) and decide who is at fault. Should the community side with the OP, the wardec would be dropped and should they side against, the OP would agree to pay a fine of 500mil and remove the offending member from the corporation.
