The list of my horrible failures is too long to recite.

It is, however, punctuated by moments of awesomeness that justify my continued existence.

Clearly me.
1. CONCORDed in an Ibis for looting a booster on a highsec gate (day 2 of playing EVE)
2. Looted a pro PvPer's can while he was still there (same day) - I opened the can, stopped, went to switch to an Ibis instead of my shiny Condor, came back, and got ROFLpwned because I'd already set off the timer.
3. Shitfit Stabbers everywhere (two small ACs, two small artilleries) all of them lost to low-end rats
4. The "stasis webbing a rock" incident mentioned in my bio
5. Operation Dread Intrusion
6. Engaging a Gallente BC at close range in an asteroid belt while flying a PvE Hurricane
7. Looting a can in my fancy ECM Rifter, then sitting still while looking to see if the owner was around; he was at the other side of the belt with artillery fitted. He found me before I found him.
8. Losing a brand new Harbinger to a high-sec DED

Oh and one fail that's not mine: A guy tried to gank my Blackbird in a high-sec belt. WHOOPS. The loot got me a Retriever :) [he did later tell me he was drunk at the time]

WoW is that way ->

lolz, I started playing EVE three days after release while you were still mewling at your mothers breast.

i am assuming that since you know where wow is, you must have played, and failed at that game?

btw, why did you call yourself diesel? is it in honor of vin diesel, and his sexual predications?

Lol

You've been playing 3 days after release yet you don't have a single kill or loss?

You've got to be the biggest carebear in the entire EvE universe then. Lol

No wonder you take offence to such a icky "pvper" thread like this.

This little story only happened a couple of months ago.

So, there I was tripping through lowsec in a on my way back from visiting the EVE gate when I notice a monthish old noob traveling in a pod. So I decided to follow them for a couple of jumps and IIRC, they were on auto pilot.

Since I was flying a fully T2 Nemesis complete with torpedo launchers, I felt this would be a good time as any to test the theory that I should be able to hit something small like a pod with torpedos since I had 2 target paintings fitted. That, and I wanted to hear the squishy sound pods make when they explode.

Once I caught up to them at a gate, I uncloaked, target locked them, and with a buwhehehe, unleashed my Torpedos of Doom upon them. In two volleys, I taught them the lesson of not auto piloting in lowsec in a pod.

A few short seconds later, as I was looking at all the pretty colors my ship was making as it was exploding, the gate guns taught me the lesson of not blowing up a defenseless pod in lowsec at the gates.

So there I was, in a pod, and having to travel about 10 jumps through lowsec in a pod with about 100 mill or so of implants in my head. Oh, the sweet irony of it all.

I had to relate all this to my wife after she heard my girlish giggling and then my Homer Simpson like "D'oh". She just looked at me and her only comment was "you dumbass".

This is just the most recent of many many "D'oh" moments I have had in my 4.5 years of playing.

Surrender is still your slightly less painful option.

Or he's an alt, jackass.

Also so what? If he bears, let him bear. Doesn't make you any better than him. Besides, your kill history, while having a lot of kills and losses, isn't exactly glamorous.

What did you do? Have a friend fly a few frigs for you to target practice with? please...

An alt that is too scared to post with his main. You think I don't know hes an alt? Fail attempt at being a smartguy.

And it's funny that you are making fun of my decent KB while on yours you have 16bil in kills and 60bil in losses. Smooth.

Oh, and you somehow managed that while still flying in blobs. I honestly have to give you a medal.

Care to tell us your fail stories of how you managed such a feat? I'm sure the thread readers would appreciate it.

Tell us the one about how you lost that carrier to a bunch of hurricanes, we'd love to hear that one. Pirate (and why does it happen every month? Do you not learn from your mistakes? Roflmao.)

I have an obsession with carriers and emulating the play style of Leeroy Jenkins. What can I say? I simply don't give a ****. I have fun. And while I may have some bad losses, at least my kills aren't a bunch of frigates and destroyers with the occasional sprinkling of a blobbed BC.

OK. Some of my alliances' haulers were in trouble, they had important **** we needed. No one really cared in alliance chat and just wanted to roam instead of deploying head on. No one wanted to risk loosing their precious ships, even though we had like, what, 8 carriers in system that could have easily helped out? Just to make a show of force?

I said **** it and **** you all. I warped to the gate they were at, rammed into the center of the blob out of warp and sent half of them bounced every which way. I then repped what industrials and haulers I could while they were able to escape and the ganking fleet kept its points and DPS on me. Saved around 500m only worth of stuff, but it was ammo n **** we needed. I lost ooh...1.4bil? But whatever, I felt good about! Leeroy Jenkins, all day, erryday.

When I first started out in EVE I generally did mining/missions like most tend to do.

Mining was enjoyable, especially corp mining ops. Sadly I disliked the little amount of cargo hold I had. Eventually I trained up for a Hulk and at some point during that time I started training an alt for hauling purposes. Then I got the brilliant idea of training him for a freighter and parking it beside my Hulk to store the ores!

It wasn't until I literally parked the freighter beside my Hulk, did a cycle on some asteroids and then tried to pick up the ores that I realized you can't do this. Essentially I bought a freighter and hardly used it.

The first time I engaged in PvP was during a wardec. Back in my noob days still. I was doing missions when I noticed a red pilot. Given that I was in a PvE passive Drake I thought I'd attack him just for fun. He was in a Curse. It would take me ages to almost break his shields and then he'd dock, undock and repeat. Eventually his friends showed up and they killed me.

Another time I had just bought my first +5's, and shortly after I was headed back to Jita in a crow to buy something else. I was piloting when a friend came over. I set it to autopilot and this was years ago when it didn't dock for you. I minimized EVE and talked to my friend. I mighta talked to my friend for five minutes before he was on his way again, then I popped EVE back up and noticed I was in station. I thought "I didn't dock, did I?" 500m isk gone to smartbombs on the gate... Ugh

The next two are a copy and paste from an old post of mine for a similar thread:

Sometime later and in 0.0:

I had just Jump Cloned back to 0.0 from moving ships/modules in Empire to be moved via Jump Freighter to our home when I realize I had forgotten to buy an essential skillbook or two to my grand plan. I set my destination to Jita. 54 Jumps. 108 there and back. Oh yeah, good fun. I've done it a couple times, although this time, things are different.

When I make it to the last system before high sec I notice three pirates in local. I figure, "Meh, it's lowsec, they can't use bubbles and I'm in an interceptor. I've got this made." I warp to the gate at 0. The first smartbomb kills my Crow, and the second kills my pod. 30 jumps for nothing.

Our corp was in Sys-k. Anyway, a few weeks ago we were deployed to Impass. For our general move there we were using a Drake/Scim fleet. However, my Drake had been blown up the other day and I didn't have one offhand and I had been offline for a day or two, but I wanted to par take in the fleet. All I had was my Cerb. So I asked if it was okay if I brought my Cerb instead. I was told I could, but it'd probably get blown up. I didn't care though.

So, we take the scenic route. Up through PB into Delve, into Querious, over to Catch, Titan bridged halfway across Catch, and finally down to Impass. Halfway through the trip we run into a Dirtnap Stealth Bomber gang. Naturally when they see 200+ ships enter system they run. Cowards! We get to the destination, have a fight, sort of (Lag) and then we start shooting SBU's. Lots of em. Hours and hours later I'm on some KM's of ships and SBU's. My Cerb is alive and I can show this to my corpmate that said it would die.

I'm tired as hell from the op and remember I had some stuff to do in home space. I decide to fly home, solo. I think you know where this is going. Hours and hours later the Dirtnap gang is still there. One jump from the gate camp I see one Dirtnap in local, nothing on scan. It's a scout, obviously. I know the gate camp is there. I've heard it on comms here and there. Yet, what did I do!?!? I jumped through. My tiredness persuaded me into thinking that somehow I could escape them. It wasn't until I saw the 15 ish ships on my overview that I woke up and realized I had just done something really stupid. I tried to get back to the gate, but was webbed and scramed. I didn't make it. They didn't have a bubbler and I wanted to get home, plus I felt like an idiot after knowing these guys were around somewhere for hours. So, I let them pod me to save me the 50 jumps. It was the most irritating loss I've ever had. But only because the loss was due to my own stupidity, and the fact that I couldn't report to my corpmate that my Cerb had survived. Though, I eventually got over it.

I think my most hilarious moment was when I was drunk playing EVE. I was in 0.0 and no one was on. I decided I should go to empire via my carrier while space wasn't too crowded to pick some things up. I jumped to the first system, and then realized one crucial flaw; I had forgot to refuel my carrier prior to departing.

I started talking with the locals in the lowsec system I was in and quickly befriended one of them. I asked him if he'd be so kind as to travel to the nearest station that had Nitrogen Isotopes (8 jumps), buy them for me, and return so I could be on my way. That was 8 jumps in lowsec to a lowsec station for fuel. Shockingly... He did it. He could have took my isk and left, or attempted contacting someone to kill me etc, but he didn't. Later when I was sober I properly thanked him for helping out and gave him some isk.

I have some other stories but I'm getting lazy.

One time an acquaintance sold his Loki for 6 isk, literally 6 isk by an accident. It was absolutely hilarious.

The above quote has to be one of the dumbest things I've read on these forums. And that is saying something.

"I'm terrible because I want to be, not because I actually suck at PvP."

If I had a penny for the amount of times I've heard that I'd have 3 dollars.

"blah blah you were in RvB!"

Yeah and I left after a week.

TBH i didn't read the rest of your post after I got to this part. I've seen your posts in other threads to know better.

I honestly think your parents should take their credit card back, give me their phone number I'd like to have a chat with them.

All I will say is get a positive KB before you start bashing other people's KBs. I don't care how much "fun" you have blowing up carriers "on purpose" (yeah right) your KB is embarrassing.
