Yes, can we please have Corporation and Tutorial icons GTFO'd from Neocom?

Could you make ore hold of mining barges open directly to ore hold or at least remember that when I leave the ship ? I have to switch from cargo hold to ore hold every time and doing it every time for 7-8 mining barges is not fun, really...

Why the hulk cargo hold can't keep mercoxit crystals ? I can equip them in the fitting panel only.

With the new “always open in new window” option, I'm actually beginning to see the end of this dip in functionality.

To my view, there are three main things that remain: the ability to drag holds to the NeoCom to give us back the direct-access buttons; the ability to treat any type of corp hangar as a single entity; and better “memory” for windows in terms of location and individual view settings.

…and some further performance tuning.

^^ This. It really needs to remember ALL possible states. I mean, if normal game mechanics allow a particular set up, the game should save it just the way I configured it. But it still does not.

It is still terribad slow when handling large numbers of items, like when I save up salvage until I get a Storyline Mission.

Which brings up the salvaging workflow - it's still very SLOW. I think the mechanics are okay due to "always use new window" option, but it simply performs like a lazy dog with the circling swoosh thingy taking it's time....

Also, the market data is almost always COMPLETELY wrong. I think when that function shows some degree of accuracy, it must be a coincidence... The market data should be a switch that can be turned off.

Also, what is up with camera zoom? I think it is reasonable that each ship should remember it's zoom setting. As it is, zoom must set and reset every time I log in. This is yet another really annoying aspect that got added in...

I'm getting fed up of being zoomed in so closely on my ship every time I log in and undock for the first time, it only remembers after you've zoomed out and only for that session, once you log out, back to square one.

Hello CCP devs, I love the game and your constant efforts to make this universe unique and entertaining...

BUT

today I realized with this new mini-patch that you changed the RATS AI.
I use to mine in nullsec using another account to permatank the rats while I am mining with this toon. Now the rats SWITCH THEIR TARGETS just like sleepers do!
And they shoot also the drones if you try to defend yourself!!

Something MUST be changed!

- Mining barges and exhumers are SLOW as hell (alignment, speed)
- Mining is an activity slow as hell.
- Mining barges and exhumers cant defend themselves properly and right in time especially against cruisers.
- the old rats AI was awesome for miners, please re-introduce the old mechanic!!

Mining isn't exactly an exciting task to do, so dont pretend people do it without being quite or totally AFK, I was SO HAPPY to do it with my permatanking escamotage. Everybody does.
If I really HAVE to stare at the screen while I am constantly risking my ship I'd like at least to mine WAY MORE than I do with the classic slow-as-hell amounts and the actual agility and velocity of mining barge and exhumers.

MINING REVAMP?
FAIL.

ps: nulsec guristas rats also jam too much. No way to kill them in a reasonable amount of time without getting mad.

I do not discount what is written above, but perhaps there is another solution: bring along an alt or friend with shield transfers and enough firepower to eliminate the rats.

ALL .... yes ALL the individual settings file "core_user_xxxxxxxx.dat" under %UserProfile%\ ...\settings are inexplicably deleted after a hard reset via reset switch (to recover from a GPU freeze issue). There's also some minor losses on several common settings for the client session. It worked fine after the patch update, right until the hard freeze. The second Link Shelled client session works as per normal with a different account, so this isn't an issue with the client files/installation.

The word "annoyed" doesn't even begin to describe the situation ... try pissed off. It'll take time redo an account's settings (3 different characters).
Why oh why? A single user's (aka character) settings loss I can accept, but ALL of them!??? Wtf?!!!

Funny thing, you manage to write a code to automatically back up the cache (after a clear cache is activated ingame), which piles on top of each other (if done mulptiple times) .... which themselves can be deleted safely without issues. Why on earth arent these unique settings files backed up before you delete them? There is zero chance of recovery, 100% chance of pissing off the players. Think about it.

Update: Re-checked a second time and noticed I had the file function topsy-turvy. What was gone was the core user account settings, NOT the individual character settings.

I see I'm not the only one to be having problem with patching.

Upon applying Inferno 1.2.5 I got a failure to apply message followed by a reccommendation to restart my computer. It didn't work!

To resolve the issue I had to uninstall and redownload the entire client afresh. This was sucessfull however I continue to experience system freeze for some time and this issue I have yet to get resolved.

I've got 3 paying accounts and ' pissed off' probably doesn't cover it...I feel I'm loosing the will to remain in game since I'm spending more time on issues like this instead for playing.

I would like to know if you are looking into the whole issue of the cargohold window not remembering its pinned location when docking/undocking/jumping/ and even changing ships?

Thank you for NOT responding in this post since #298 of this thread Posted: 2012.08.10 11:08.

As I can see from posts in this thead there are still alot of issues with V1.2. of inferno. To me it goes to show how high up the importance game mechanics issues are when a Hello Kitty topic thread had more dev posts than an actual games issue thread.

and yes my frustration is getting the better of me.

I have noticed that when ships cyno in or jump through gates there is a high chance they will appear on my overview as ships with no standings and have no alliance or corp tick... ahaha, who am I kidding? The overview bug will never be fixed. Sure it's been around for literally years, but why fix something that affects nullsec pilots every day?

Ahahaha ... it happened again. I've had to hard reset before 1.2 but it never corrupted/wipes the clients Settings.
Fortunately, I'd done a manual backup after that first incident.

Lookup bug report #143105

Get someone to work on an auto-backup scheme for the Settings folder. Better yet, make it portable (i.e. auto-backup + file easy acccess + zipped up).
One of the major stickler when people re-install EVE are re-doing the setttings. If it's portable, you'll make a lot of people happy.

I have been experiencing some disturbing behavior on different clients at different times: when navigating through gate(jumping), my ship stalls at gate after the jumping notification for about 1-2mins; finally jumps the gate and immediately warps to safety without my input. this happens on different clients and in different circumstances (not at the same time). can anyone verify/ confirm? this is not working as intended. please tell me it isnt so.

I can't log in EVE anymore since around 15:30 GMT from Luxembourg, same for my friend in Belgium. We have the message "no connection could be made .." when we try to start the game. When I try to connect from my Swiss VPN it works ..

What's interesting is that we live quite far away from each other, anybody else having this issue ?

Edit : now it worked but just with one client, don't know why
