Minimal fleet comp for Vanguard Incursion sites

I am looking for the absolute minimum fleet makeup to run vanguard sites. I am talking about the minimum you would take and have a good chance at completing the site.

could they be run with 2 logi and say 3-4 dps ships?

I'd say yes, but you will lose the site to a bigger fleet if contested.

how does that work when another fleet comes on grid? is it based on which fleet destroys certain mobs, or whoever can deposit the ore first?

Whoever does the most total damage.

And if your planning on trying to multi-box.

Someone already tried that and it didn't work.

I'd like to answer your question but that's just not how incursions work you need to give us some info on what your planning.

You want 2 5/1 basi with T2 large shield reps

and 8-10 machariel/nightmares

youll also need a loki or vindi for frig duty

Could be done with 2-3 logi and maybe 3 good dps ships vs frigates (Sleip, Vindi, Legion, Paladin). It will take long but as long as niarjas are neutralized (esp. tagged in OTA and alphaed) site can be permatanked. That will 100% complete the site, but it will take some time (ab legion or paladin wont have a problem to kill Mara in NMC alone).

The only problem might be NMC when the bar isnt blue, you need either 3rd logi, or an OGB.

For multiboxing I'd use 2-3 onei, and plated Zealots with AB 1600 and pulses. Four of these DPS will also complete the sites w/o problem due to prop mod and range of 45-50km. Just AB to Mara and scorch it from 40km. Two onei if OGB is available for NMC.

However as thats absolute minimum fleet, clearing sansha EWAR and then DPS as fast as possible is the key to safe site completion.

I have to add for slowing the frigates down, you have to use either faction web, or T2 web with mindlinked skirmish loki booster. (about 14km range is standard for webs that are used, and thats about the minimum range you want to have to slow the frigates down, and even then sometimes you'll have to OH the web to get that niarja thats at 17km).

They are too fast to close to them from 3300 to 4000m/s for schmaeel (now they dont run so fast all the time, but you get the picture). They'll keep you at range. You could close to them with a prop mod, but that isnt efficient.

This is great info guys, thanks for all of the input.

Just trying to get an entry level incursion group going so i needed info from people who have actually run them more than once.

The idea here was just to know the absolute minimum fleet comp, that could complete a site comfortably.
