9.5/10 A very striking use of shadow. The one improvement I would suggest is a more imposing scar, possibly along the eye.

I'd say 9/10, because you look like a can flipper. Pure evil incarnate, right there.

BUT.......

Those sunglasses messed it all up. Authentic, nice lighting all jacked up by fake looking sunglasses. 8/10

Really authentic looking with good photo composition and minimal light effect. I actually do like the angled close-up on this avatar, where I normally hate in your face shots. Only issue is that the face is just so... perfect. Not a single crease or blemish at all. Seems almost painted. All in all, very well done.

I wouldn't say that can flipper actually represents 'pure evil incarnate', more like nasty people racketeering pocket money of defenseless children but that's another debate Blink


@terzslave : Not my style, but assuming that the cadaver side is intended I don't see anything to say. 9/10

It works better in 200 than in 512 px though. (but like a lot of us, me first ^^')

Edit : thinking of it... I'm not sure that a cadaver can be 'the style' of anybody...

Double edit for Serena : Slight frown is intentionnal, it gives more personality to the face good job for noticing it ! And you are probably disturbed by the nose.

I haven't rated your Avatar for a while, and somewhere since last time you've changed it...
I kinda like it. The lighting is nice, the face has something unique.. but something also seems odd and I can't put my finger on it.
That slight frown .. is that intentional?

Looking good as usual. I actually like this one more than some of your previous. The expression is nice, the fringe over the eyes is a pleasant change too and works well with the tattoo and the skin tones / blush / lipstick all work very well together. If you look closely there's a small glitter in the eye in the background, which looks nice along with the high lip gloss in the otherwise relative darkness.

@Ivy Romanova : You've changed the camera and took the opportunity to move for more distance... Honestly, I think that in most cases this is a trap that doesn't render well... But here you've done the exploit to convice me.
The rest of the character is fine, but now most of the picture is occupied by your clothes.. that are not really hard to make.

I guess this proves you don't need the perfect custom foundation , lighting and clothing already decided much of a portrait's appeal
