Does it matter what race you are? are there any major factors to been a particular race?

thanks

Hello Mr Palmer Sotken,

There exist no advantages or disadvantages in training skills, flying ships or other gameplay related activities for the different races. For example you can skill easily Minmatar ships with an Armarr character and vice verse.

However, if you are wanting to roleplay, you maybe want to chose your background a bit more carefully. Also the visuals of each race differs a little bit.

Hopefully that answers your question.

Don't listen to Phantom. Gallente are clearly the most superior of all EVE. Just look at me and see how awesome we are!

HAHA! All ego aside Phantom is correct Smile.

all race does now is change your appearance and starting location, if you pick amarr, you start in amarr space ect...
you also get that race starting skills, so if u pick amarr u start with amarr frigate 3. note that your starting skills only take like a day to train, so if u start amarr and want minmitar ships its no big deal early on.

a long long time ago, in an eve far far away, race meant many differnt things

also, amarr victor.

with the technological superiority of our caldari brothers and the vast number of amarrian ships ( about 5 times more then failente) we would win any conflict.

Lol, this is posted by someone who is in a corp that is part of the Gallente federation.

Also, never saw this many DEV posts in a single thread =)

EDIT: forgot the most important part, Races don't matter anymore, all it does is change your looks, gives you acces to your racial frigate skill and change your starting system.

Caldari are better because we are more efficient plus have very cool barcode tats.

Don't listen to Zymurgist. Gallente do all sorts of body modifications. There was once this time when the son of a high ranking Gallente was... I better not say *shivers from the memory*

I play the side I can connect with better. And Gallente are clearly the best.

For all those Amarr braggers out there they couldn't seem to beat us. Conquered more and more space until you hit the brick wall that was the Gallente. Like my Drones?Cool

until hybrids are fixed choose minmatar or amarr

Everytime you buy something that says "made in china" you are helping the rising unemployment in your own country unless you are from china, Buy locally produced goods and help create more jobs.

as a fellow gallente i have to say no your wrong.

hybrids in their current form are awful.... drones die to bombs, smartbombs and direct targeting.

also gallente ships need a tiny bit more pg overall...fitting them properly and getting decent dps is next to near impossible until u have l5 across the board.... other races is much much easier to fit with much less skill points

This has nothing to do with the race you choose but with what you skill.

So again, race doesn't mean having an advantage on any other race.

The only advantage to playing a certain race is that you need to spend about 80 minutes less training for their Frigate Level 2. If you plan on PVPing, you may consider starting as Minmatar, solely because of the Rifter. For Exploration, take the Gallente (because they can use a drone for offense on their T1 probing ship). Otherwise, knock yourself out. You can always train for anything you want anyway...

I'd pick minmatar or gallente purely for their noobships.

The Velator(gallente) has the best dps out of any noobship and can actually function somewhat if you get podded in a fleet fight....just dock, pick up a couple of drones, and have at it.

The minmatar one is quite fast, and functions almost like a shuttle with a bigger cargo bay.

Past that, it really makes no difference which race you train for. My little bro started as a gallente but was cross trained into minmatar within a day or so.
