Rokh?

Is it like "Rock"? Or is like "Roke"?

I say it like "Roke" even though I'm pretty sure it's wrong...

The top post in that thread gets corrected later with this link: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/Roc which includes a pronunciation: "rock".

In that thread, Tippia gives the appropriate phonetic spellings.

I always pronounced it Rock. I figured I was wrong, but never really cared.

It's actually "Roc" (alternative spellings "Rok", "Rukh" or "Rokh"), as in the bird in "1001 (Arabian) Nights".
And yeah, it's pronounced just like "rock".
