For the love of freaking sanity CCP - have you done ANY market research? PSN exclusive = you're not going to make money off freaking Dust. OPEN IT UP TO THE FREAKING PC.

P.S. Just seen the trailer on youtube under the heading "Are you ready for an EVE FPS?".

So, all the people who have paid to play EVE, on their PCs!!!, and made EVE what it is today, have just been slapped in the face because this is only going out to PS3 only?

No, because I knew a long time ago this would be console only. Promising that it was going to be PC and console THEN saying console only would be a slap in the face. This is just you reacting stupidly to things you could have known a long time ago.

WHoohoo Dust514!
Sharing: I choked up three-bills and bought a new PS3 320 Motion dedicated to Dust514 game-play. I'd prefer the PC but deploying to console is understandable for FPS game and for reaching a large user base. Nice strategy I am sure...

I was disappointed the Eve Beta codes failed to work and the support was less then useful - completely unresponsive given time schedule for the beta event.

Not willing to give up for the weekend event besides having a nice new shiny PS3 toy and all - I decided to purchase the DUST514 Merc pack and downloading from the PS store was painless.

Best $20 I spent for weekend of entertainment! Drink More Beer after every match - seemed to help me improve using the PS3 dual-shock controls.

The game is a blast. I tried many of the modes and used the new content. I had a great time skirmishing on several maps.

Hats off to CCP Dev team and mgmt. This game will be a great success. It is really fun to play and I am sure there will be many many subscribers. And the upcoming integration will be a well received event I believe - can't wait.

I was bitter vet skeptic and now a PS3 owner operator - what can I say - and if I end up divorced when choosing between Dust/Eve and honey-does with wife...well I hope that doesn't happen and I can have my cake and eat it too.

I had my eye on eve for a while but never decided to get it, but after seeing DUST i decided i would subscribe, assuming that the beta code would come with it at least within an hour but following the instructions i have no codes listed to do anything with....

so just wondering, how long will it take untill i get the code?

hmm, any reason why after the first 1990 mb download the update is 2100 mb? there's only so much i want to delete off a ps3 before its just not worth the hassle.

It's only likely to get bigger. If you look at the size of other FPS or TPS games, they're similar. It's just normally masked by being on a disc. A total of 10 isn't unlikely.

If you've not seen, at least with the fat PS3s, it's actually pretty easy to increase the size of your drive. As long as you have somewhere to backup the original. Just back it up, switch off, pull a small bit of plastic out, undo a screw, pull out the caddy, undo 4 screws, put a new drive in the caddy, put the caddy back in, screw it in, and put the plastic front back on. restore from backup onto it.

Just needs a 2.5 inch sata drive.

Woo! CSM XI!

More then likely I am guessing if you never recieved a code from this recent beta promo by ccp, you won't be getting one now. that ended on monday I think... However, you may still have an opportunity to get one from sony on the PSN. You will need to go to the playstationHome and go to the navigator thing and find the dust514 room. Once there you speak to recruiter in there, he will give you directions to get a beta code sent to your email. Hope it works for you

Thanks for clarifying if it is true, I have a buddy who was interested but didnt find out until few days ago and doesnt have the HD space to use the PSHome method. I will be telling him to use this promotion immediatly now

email support@dust514.com and ask for a new one. The system is in flux right now, but becouse it has rejected it you will need to ask for another.

Wow, typically (non) helpful EVE community.. I asked if anybody could confirm that kb/m control was currently functional?
