Being a novice explorer, I am interested in gaining access to Jove Space. I've tried petitions...they didnt think it was the place for such queries...lol. Others claim to have visited EVERY system in EVE, but I doubt it since there are no gates into Jove Regions. And it would seem a GM would have to light up a cyno anyhow. Anyone who has knowledge on achieving this DAUNTING goal, please post a solution...thanks

1. Enter the alliance tournament.
2. Apply for a GM position.

Glitches and exploits have previously made it possible, (Aka: placing a clone there) though I'm unaware of any at current.

Not a forum alt.

nobody can get there. That space is for CCP only where they can test stuff on the live server. Only time people can get there is for the alliance tourney

Thank you for your suggestions, tho I fear Im not Tourney-worthy...nor am I GM material...lol. I am but a simple Capsuleer, eager to view Jove ships and stations...if they exist.

They do "exist" I think I heard they are more CCP stations though then jove stations. Like just going to their headquarters is the same as jove space.

There's a small section of space next to Jove space that isn't accessible either. Use that for testing.

I hope there's a storyline update that does open it up eventually. Jove are actually pretty interesting.

I am new to the forum concept, and as such, please forgive any infractions...they are unintentional. I did read the forum rules of conduct and will attempt to abide by them...lol. I write an occassional story in our corporate webpage...perhaps I will try adding a touch of Jove influence in one of them. And the Jove ships I have seen by "other" means...well, they are SWEET and SHINY in appearance, tho I hear they are quite DEADLY as well...

Jove space has never, nor will ever be open to players. As to the people saying they have visited every system in EVE, they are being truthful. There have been many documented cases of people visiting every single system that is available to us. Here is an example of such a trip INNOMINATE NIGHTMARE you should check out the blog he created whilst doing this. A trip to Google should also prove fruitful.

Your expectations of visiting Jovian space will forever remain unfulfilled, so you would be best forgetting it. It is also worth noting that the Alliance Tournament does not take place in Jove space, but rather it is near or in Polaris space.

...and thank you Cutter Issacson for your input as well. Systems that are "available" to us doesnt necessarily mean "EVERY" system. I do like the idea of the INNOMINATE NIGHTMARE journey...truely EPIC in scope, yet sadly, it ended on a bit of a question. Did he turn into another Amelia Ehrhart?

You missed the golden age my friend. There was a guy who got there in a technical sence by manipulating old mechanics and bookmarks... but just making the distance isn't enough to force the system to load. It's a computer game not real space.... otherwise his efforts made him my hero. Really sweet project. The other way to do it was either by tricking GMs into loading you there, or better and easier, just set your clone there under certain conditions under, again, an old mechanic that doesn't exist anymore. Other than that, Jove are just a bullshit race CCP keeps promising at fanfests when they've had too much to drink or are otherwise light on updates or content. Get comfortable. You're going to be waiting awhile. Maybe while you wait you could sit in your incarna sofa... that was promised along with establishments in 2006.

I see you soaring on the wings of your dreams and CCPs promises... I can't wait to see your face when you see there's nowhere to land but the sea of reality.

From the EVElopedia article Jovian Disease:
EVElopedia wrote:
Eventually, the Jove cut off all contact between themselves and the rest of the cluster. Today, the Jove are rarely seen by the rest of New Eden, leading to persistent rumors that the disease has claimed them completely, though long range sensors continue to report activity in Jove space.

So, wait, are the Jove a canonical explanation for CCP's existence? :P

Bingo, or at least partially. Previously the DEVS actually were Jove character but that got changed a while back, for unknown (and possibly sad) reasons.

The thing about Jove is that they're interesting BECAUSE we don't have access or full info on them, would we have access to their space, ships and whatnot they'd lose their specialty status in about a month which would be a waste. So no, do not ask for access to their space or ships because that would break the whole idea of them being special.

They are owned by the Jove, but the stations are Gallente designed, and there's probably no actual Jove in them.

I have heard whispers of a wormhole system somewhere in new eden that maintains a stable wormhole connection to Jovian space.

It is said that this wormhole is fiercely defended by sleep drones which make it virtually impossible for any capsuleer to pass through.

It is also said that a pot of gold waits at the end of the rainbow and that you can turn lead in to gold. I have a bridge I would like to sell you.

I really appreciate the comments and advice...its alot more than I ever really expected on my first visit to the forums. As to the Jove's, I have one more question...are there ANY images of them? By that, I mean the Jove's themselves...what do they look like? Does anyone know???
