Trit prices down; mining changes having effect?

Earlier today trit was running around 7.40 in Jita. Now? Down to 6.58 (though trending back up a bit).

Are the mining barge changes starting to hit? Pyerite wasn't affected as much, so I don't think so. I wonder if someone simply dumped a large stockpile of trit in Jita and drove the price down temporarily....

There's no way that trit was at 7.4 "earlier today" seeing as there are orders below 7.4 that are older than that.

Still: Yes, trit is down. It'll go first because Veld is the easiest to mine, other low ends will follow in time.

Price seems really high, in the hub I reside; prices are around 6.30 on sell orders and 6.10 on buy orders. prices does look like they want to come down. And if you venture a couple of jumps out, you will get people dumping stock on you around 4-5 ISK per unit.

Perhaps its time for me to unload my modest but for me large investment of 10M units of tritanium? (bought it between 4-5 ISK per unit)

Prices also fluctuate depending on the day of the week. Prices go down midweek, then spike on the weekends.

the last time I made the mistake of issuing a buy order for the wrong system, I ended up with 3B isk in worthless resources on some highsec island, of course those regional orders will be 4-5 ISK Duhh!

Took me more then 6 weeks to sell it off drop by drop.

Don't know if the Duh remark is aimed towards my comment.
I am currently in Dodixie, and I am not buying anything more than 4 jumps away.
And I have never been to low sec, someone taught me pretty fast how to sought those away with filters.

Just went through my trading logs, and apparently I was exaggerating a little bit. Lowest buy price I had over the couple of days was 4.5ish. (in a volume that is probably negligible to big traders)

I'd also raise my head above the client and look at the calendar.

Trit has been cycling from mid 6s to low 7s for a couple of weeks. Nothing new.

Judging by the tone of his/her post, I'd say this person lives in the land of internet tough guys with an attitude problem who forget to take their daily medication.

He lives in Italy but tone of his post aside, he's got a point - things slow down during the summer.

Anyway, I've been watching trit since I was a miner and trit was cycling from 6.3-6.8 for a few weeks, then the whole BUY MINERALS WHILE BPOS ARE CHEAP hit mining barges. Then trit shot up to the 7.1-7.3 range before crashing down into the 6.1-6.7 range.

Personally, I think trit has been quite stable. I wouldn't buy stock piles and sit on it, but it's still safe to do weekly trading.

Because living in the U.S. is awesome if you're affluent, and everyone believes they will be.

Edit: also, "third world country" as a euphemism, and "third world country" as an actual place to be living, are very different ;p

I don't think the eve market is going to forego it's yearly trends because Americans are too poor to take a vacation or do something other than play Eve. The cart-pusher at Wal-Mart with the diction of a Haitian voodoo priest gets 2 to 3 weeks of vacation, paid, a year.

Nothing against Haitians...
