3 things you would give priority to as a CCP Senior producer

Risk/Reward balance. More reward in lowsec/nullsec, less reward in highsec. Also, more risk in highsec by buffing suicide ganking, wardeccing, etc.

1) Make the NPE the number one priority and start a campaign to bring in as many new players as possible.

2) Don't shoot me for saying it, but WiS needs a lot of work and should be high on priorities as this is a major drawback that deters new players/customers. CCP had the right idea but horrible implementation. I would strongly consider scrapping the current WiS character engine for one that doesn't melt people's computers. I'd gladly give up super high graphic quality for versatility. With lower graphic requirements, you can easily have large numbers o players together and from there you can create other things like shops or gambling or whatever.

3) Give the "good guys" the ability to be good and thrive at it. So muh of the game revolves around underhanded cruel player behavior, yet good guys can't really thrive. It's easy to be a pirate but near impossible to be an anti pirate. It's easy to scam but impossible to fight the scammers. It's so repulsive to hear every newbies tale of how they experience the awful and cruelty from other players. This game is brutal and harsh because the game doesn't allow for good guys.

1) Creation/Introduction of a new race + their ships. (Would give veterans new skills to train for, also more variety to change up the gameplay some)
2) Allow Faction Warfare to take place in high sec(Navy remains in game but only to deal with outlaws)
3) Clothing/Accessories exclusive to each race so we can have more unique looks for our characters between races.
4) Allow Carriers and Dreads in high sec, would make wars more interesting along with FW(if allowed in high sec at some point)

Hi. If you were a manager in CCP you wouldn't be responsible for any of this. Your top 3 would probably be:

1. Carry out performance reviews of your department
2. Have regular one to one meetings with those in your department
3. Organise a fun team building activity for your department

You might want to rephrase to "If you became Senior Producer, what 3 things would you set as your priorities"

Well, if that's the top 3 priorities then they are useless bosses. Number one and two are yearly or quarterly things unless you got a bad employee that needs to be booted. Number three is worthless. Noone wants to play a hool-a-hoop game just give proper raises and bonuses so everyone feels like a well payed team.

That crap is the reason I opened my own business and trounced the competition....meetings (another way of saying "HEY! let's get together for coffee and cakes while we talk about the same things that aren't done 400 times instead of using our budget properly so they get done")

If i was allowed a fourth option:

4. Encourage people to eventually leave HS. Nerf level 4 mission payouts, move high level incursion sites to low sec, limit the kinds of ore found in HS and add new game play features specific to low sec like combat arenas.

Without making people feel like low sec, null sec and wormhole space are a way for them to move up in the world and experience new and exiting things not available in HS, the game will grow stagnant over time.

Because subjecting people to all the problems in null/low/wh that aren't related to HS is a sure fire way to keep a steady subscription base.

Space beyond HS must be long-term fun for people to move away from High-Sec. Otherwise you're just doing the same thing that the Soviets did in WW2: Shooting your own men to give the wrong kind of motivation.

The world is a community of idiots doing a series of things until it explodes and we all die.

good thing you don't get the RUIN the game. go run off to lowsec and play instead of shitting up other people's part of the game.

Tedium and difficulty are not the same thing, if you don't realize this then STFU about game design.

Highlight a play style.....like...say....underground movement.......small cells independently sabotaging large alliance war efforts.......by which small/new corporations can get there first taste of other sec space than HS. (learn covert ops, planning operations, travel through "danger" area's, you know.......and heaven forbid, they might want to settle as alliance them selves in other parts of New Eden than HS....maybe even...i dont know....getting nul-sec populated with 10 times the number of smaller alliances instead of 2 big ones and the rest is allowed...to RENT space....)

- CCP highlighting player created videos and pictures

I hope this helps Blink

lots of interesting stuff out there.

1. If you GCC or are -10 then you can be warped directly to ( ie right click flagged player / -10 in local and select warp to at your desired range). This will have several effects - enable anti-pirate patrols, give the peeps that decide to be -10 or GCC that 'I'm a criminal being chased feeling', set up lots of low sec fun.

2. UI improvements- please continue at pace. Listen to the player feedback on test server, and launch when ready.

3. Small Player owned bases in asteroid fields - destructable, and made using mining barges Roll. Will have a limited volume capacity.

Realise that just turned into a wish list, could add another 100 of these with ease.

Everyone and their cat agree that the bounty system is not working as intended. But for the rest of your post I have to disagree.

Cyprus Black wrote:

Wrong ! It's just that pirates do two things right, which potential anti-pirates do wrong.

Pirates work as a team if needed or solo, but usually more or less structured in corporations. Anti-pirates either don't do that ... or they end up being pirates because they literally do the same stuff: blow up ships in low-sec.

Cyprus Black wrote:

Only and best way to fight scammers is by not falling for scams ...

Sort of like you don't reply to the 3rd son of a super-rich dictator who needs your help to get tons of money out of his country and wants to reward you millions of dollars if only you could send him 1000 dollars for legal fees first.

Cyprus Black wrote:

Bad guy slaps good guy. Good guy holds him the other cheek ?

Well in EVE the good guy has to slap back ... if he doesn't want to do that, it's his problem really.

... or did you think more of a Chuck Norris type of good guy: 1 man vs all the bad guys ? Not going to happen !

1. Implement new POS required for jumping across multiple systems. There could be varying size jump modules that would allow a certain tonnage to jump through on a periodic basis and alter the distance at which jumps could occur (e.g. a large jump gate POS would allow more tonnage to pass through every 24 hours and allow for longer jumps).

This would allow limited applications of force projection while eliminating the hot drops of supers.

2. Eliminate the ability of ships to generate jump portals.. or significantly curtail it such that it would only allow 1 or 2 other ships of the same size to pass through before closing.. and have a ridiculously long cool down time.

As a Sr Producer for in space, I would ask for the following priorities:
- Continue fixing "broken" content like FW, Incursions, Corp Mgmt UI, etc.
- Continue ship balancing and tiericide.
- Create new compelling types of PVE content in high sec.
- [ Break up the null sec coalitions ]
- [ Add new space to Eve with mechanics between Low Sec and WH space ]

As Sr Producer for WIS, I would ask for the following priorities:
- Fluid running and jumping animations
- Multiplayer CQs
- PVP in CQs (think Dust)

As a Game Designer, I might choose to implement the breakup of null sec coalitions by having a 1-2 minute "transit time" between cyno -> land. Increase the amount of fuel required for each ship by the amount of ships in transit for that cyno. Ships which run out of fuel get lost in between.
