Charges in Fits - Broken for refitters, but W.A.I?

I was VERY excited about this feature, and true to word, the charges are saved in the fit, but, as a person who would use this to refit after mission running, this feature is broken, and after submitting a petition, I have been told that this feature is working as intended. This "saving charges in fits" now makes me very unexcited. I do understand it as a GREAT feature for ship fitters starting from 0m³, but completely useless for the dude who wants to just reload his ammo quickly.

I have a fit with exactly the same quantity of ammo for 4 different types of charges. My holds are sitting at 100% capacity. I go run a few missions and I start to run out of ammo, of course. I go into the fitting screen, try to refit, but it says it can't load my charges. WTF? Since my holds have 300+ extra charges sitting in the bay, it won't move what I have in my items hangar, to my ship because that amount of charges would put the ships holds over capacity. The funny thing is, the script CCP wrote KNOWS not to fit something that EXACTLY matches what is saved in the fit.

Looking at my items bay, when I hit the "FIT" button, the stack of ammo gets split into what the fit says it should be. Then the "script" tries to move the ammo into the holds, but, behold, the holds would become too full, so it fails and stops.

What I would have figured is that the script would have done one of two things;

- Empty the destinations cargo hold of that ammo type, then refit with the charges required by the saved fit. Its smart enough to know to split the stack, so why not smart enough to yank from holds?

- Do some simple math (Fit Charges - Hold Charges = Charges to split and move) - Dangerous as one could theoretically have more charges of that type, which means the script would have to split a negative amount.

Option 1 seems the best deal that should have been done, but, none of that is happening. :(

So now I have to unload my cargo, then use the refit. So a *GREAT* feature for the fitters, not-a-great feature for the re-fitters.
