Multiboxing 40 ice miners with ISBOxer is almost as easy as running a single ice miner. You just need the hardware to support the clients. I can currently run 12 accounts on one box without any drop in performace, with low graphic settings.

Ice mining with 8 skiffs, 2 Orcas and a Vulture (shield/armor/skirmish boosts).

I am happy mining 480 odd blocks an hour with the crew burning around roids like flies buzzing around steaming poo at 700ms

Practically bump and gank proof. Only need to tractor 8 cans every 14 mins or so.

The perfect thing to do whilst catching up on a years worth of anime and j dramas. Attention free mining at its best.

Thanks CCP.

How does that setup make you bump proof?

No issues with RAM? I have 16GB on the 8 client box. Running 9 causes memory warnings. 10 makes stuff crash on undock (not fun!)

Granted, settings are far from low. I do like some eye candy.

Wouldn't it be easier to list systems where there ISN'T botting going on? What?

No issues at all with only 8GB of RAM. You would be amazed the difference if you turn all your graphics settings to minimum. Just having one client with high graphics will start impacting performance. I'm hoping to get more on one box, but I'm only up to 12 accounts so far.

At OP - good luck with getting anything done. CCP only does something once a year. Check back in 6 months.

Besides - the EVE economy would be a lot better if the trader bots were nailed first anyways. Just like in RL - automation is killing the markets.

10MN Afterburning skiff returns to the roid pretty quick if hit since it is orbiting at 12km. Tested with a mach bump. With bad luck/timing the ice harvester could get disengaged... but that's why there are 8 skiffs. That I am watching stuff on the next screen means a lost lock is quickly fixed.

I'm no pro bumper but it took me a lot of tries to bump one of the buzzing flies.

Edit.: Of course the hauling orca is vulnerable. Had a pest do that with his cruiser yonks ago in an ore belt when I was aligning out to drop a load.

This thread clearly demonstrates some of the problems with player-based bot-reporting. People who can't tell the difference between a legal program like ISBoxer and actual Botting behavior, reporting of Bots with NO effort to gather or provide intelligence or evidence and the misinformed such as the "King of all Highsec" James 315 thinking that somehow bots outnumber active players and spreading that misinformation to the ignorant masses. I have no doubt CCP takes bot reporting very seriously, but they can't be blamed for ignoring most of the reports considering who it is making them and the likelihood that most of the reports are straight up false.

All my alts just get a number. I tried refering them by name once and it just went to their heads. It is best to keep the worker class humble so they know their lot in the world :-)

All the bots hang out in Chamemi. There are so many belts, hiding in the open is like pancake, really.

It knows what you think.

And just yesterday I lurked The Scope chat and OP was crying there how it's not fair that he has to use tempest to gank solo miners now.

Come on, at least try a little.

if you guys want to see a bot mining then please visit Kino system ive been ice mining there for the last few days with my alts ( (3 macks and an orca ) and i dont use a bot or any program its easy enough mining like that ) but there is a guy in there who runs 2 fleets of 40+ retrieves in the ice belts fairly easy to spot as he has numbers in all the alt names or just sit in the belt and wait for them all to warp in . but there is botting and there is just taking the **** as this guy does, Imho all bots should get popped it would be nice if ccp did something about it but as of yet they havent answered any1 from the kino system and many people have reported this guy including me but as of yet no answer ????

You know that may not be botting. It very well might be, but it could not be as well. The guy could be running 40/80 alts using ISOboxer. Which is still botting as far as I am concerned, but it's CCP approved botting.

Is the guy in an NPC corp?

I've been missioning and had to warp off because of RL getting in the way so mining (solo) ice to get income to whilst being simi AFK is nice, doesn't pay as well as missioning but atleast I don't have to stop and beat my kids for interupting me (kidding) I have no kids, but yeah theres passive income PI, research, but I choose ice mining be it simi AFK, Big smile

This is what happens when you make a cheap T1 barge (ret) be virtually as good as mining as the mac. Farmers will abuse it with dozens of low sp new accounts, overall cheap set up and high profit. We'll probably see a lot more of this yet.

Check out Niarja and Kamio. You can't fly in their ice fields without hitting a barge.

*snip*

I'm convinced OP is a bot that reports other bots to keep their company's bots safe. This is the typical meta-game for bots. Trust me, I'm not a bot, but I know a bot when I see one. I'm a bot hater, like my daddy and his daddy before.

Guys...?

Guys!
