I'm training up my skills for a Brutix and I want to be able to fit it for PvP use specifically.

What kind of Fit does well in PvP for a Brutix?

With the introduction of T3s, the Brutix doesn't serve much more than a baiting purpose imo.

However, if you want gank then it's better to use a Talos or Proteus(Assuming you have the proper skills to). If you insist on using a gank Brutix though then this fit should server you well in gangs.

Basically 50k EHP and pushes 900+ DPS with good skills, Valks and Heat, and you will want to heat, if your up against a Cane or something particularly, because you have about 2-2.5 minutes to melt him, before he melts your cap.

Needs a 2% Grid implant, or swap the TE for a PDS.

Go now and leeroy at all the things.

And with no cap booster, you'll run dry so fast that it wouldn't even be funny. Oh and you still get 903 DPS with just guns with my fit without drones plus you keep your cap booster. An extra 42 DPS and 7k EHP is simply not worth giving up your cap booster and Omega, sorry.

P.S. Void does work against low transversal targets such as other BCs with their MWDs shut off. Twisted

Well, that was with CNAM, not Void, also, you dont *need* a cap booster, just manage your Cap properly, same with the shield Harb/Zealot. You have enough DPS to put down any Sub BS target before you cap out as long as you arent stupid with your MWD.

I also don't think the Brutix needs a cap booster- your opponent pops first, if not, then you pop before the cap runs out.

But yeah, Talos, until they give Brutix back the missing low slot.

Oh, I know it was with CNAM. That's why I put Void in when I loaded your setup into EFT. Oh and I agree but sometimes you need to waste precious cap burning for something which is when the cap booster comes into play, especially in a gang environment when you could get neuted by a Curse or a BS without being primaried or even shot since, well, they can both shut down a Brutix incredibly fast when said Brutix doesn't have a booster. I doubt the OP will be soloing in the ship which makes the chance of being neuted out even more possible. Also the Harb/Zealot both have far more range than the Brutix they don't need to waste as much cap burning for something as a Brutix would. Plus we're missing a few key points, the OP didn't say whether they were soloing or going around in gangs plus the Myrm > the Brutix when it comes to soloing.

Max DPS fitting with speed to get into range:

[Brutix, Shield]

4x Heavy Ion Blaster II (Void M)
3x Heavy Neutron Blaster II (Void M)

Experimental 10MN Microwarpdrive I
2x Large Shield Extender II
Warp Scrambler II

3x Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
Nanofiber Internal Structure II
Damage Control II

3x Medium Core Defense Field Extender I

5x Hammerhead II

Love the ship, surprisingly I've lost very few of them and in one engagement I broke through carrier reps on a BS that a few of us had engaged.

I must say I've never had cap issues as once I'm in range I just shut down my MWD.

Edit: I prefer the two LSE's as I just get more buffer compared to invuln and yeah I know epic EM hole but I don't care XD

Everyone who says Talos is not realizing the huge training and ISK difference there is between the two.

Brutix can also pass 1k DPS and thats pretty sweet.

Drop sba, fit scram, drop rcu, fit mfs, drop few blasters to lower tier and its suddenly one of the best fits around.

With invul and xlsba overheated (+ blue pill) it basically gives the ship 93k ehp (almost 40k ehp more than lse fit) while having only 70 dps less than fit with full rack of neutrons.

Yes I have no interest in the Talos right now. I want a Brutix for its ability to still do good damage while tanking like a mofo.

If anybody has some tested and true armor tank setups that still will push some heavy damage, I'd love to see that too. Still, all these different fitting styles gives me a good idea of what kind of fit I am going to have.

There isn't an armor Brutix that tanks like a mofo. There is a Myrmidon that tanks ok.

This tanks as much as an XLASB fit, T2 armor rep fit tanks only 440 hps, which isn't much in current meta.

200dps less, ****** cap life, 615mil ISK.

Considering the Brutix has an active armor rep bonus, this situation raises the question- what the actual **** was CCP thinking when they introduced the ASBs?

I have used a Duel Rep Brutix in gate camps before. Pirateing. It did great taking gate guns and could always last until they cycled on to another target. Got top damage a couple times.

Tank was not OP though... If I got primaried I died in fairly short order.
And range was an issue. Drakes and Canes limit me to drone damage only.
