Please consider using jquery for selecting location in creating a new op. A combox box would assist the list greatly.

It does use a jquery to fill and autocomplete the op box. As of the version that should be uploaded in the next few days.

I would like to ask the community for some help with this next step.

with the next update I would like to be able to finish the ability to create operations based off the different area's of Eve that are available IE PVE, PVP, Mining, Incursions, Courier, and Misc.

For Mining that is been completed but for the other ones I need some help.

PVE = Drones and Rats they have loot tables based off the type of enemy they are and faction/ship.

PVP = Anything available in the game

Incursions = Not really sure what can drop from this help on this would be much welcomed as I have yet to really do any Incursions.

Courier = The location is the end stop of the courier and will have a starting point and what your shipping to pick from with M3 available to show what ships would be able to hold the cargo based off what you can fly and how many trips it would take.

Misc = Does not fit into any of the above area's.

Please let me know if you think this is about right or i should change how I go about this.

Incursions don't really drop loot etc... Its the concord payouts and LP you get for completing each site. No one bothers to salvage the wrecks and they don't contain loot (by design). As a corp what we do is provide the lyavite needed to complete the vanguard NMC (one particular site), ammo and drones used by corp members. so we have to keep track of how much we are using. so almost the reverse of say a mining op. Keep track of what is taken out, not what is put in :)

Mission rats drop a huge variety of loot, IMO no one is going to log every single item. Perhaps here you could contain a mixture of a corp wallet tracker to work out bounties paid to each person in op, mixed with a fleet loot history reader someone could upload at the end of the log?

Thank you Nutbolt! That helps me out greatly so with the incursion Op creation It will have all the ammo types both projectile, missle, and Crystals and will show how much you use and allow you to set who uses what. (Did I get this right?)

As for the ratting I was thinking of the bounties too unless others have any ideas that will be how that will work.

PVP will kind of be a killboard kind of thing I will have it pull the kill logs of what was picked up by who (let me know if this will work for people.

Don't forget Hybrid ammo :) and yes I think so :) To give an example, when we go to an incursion I take an Orca which will have 100,000 rounds of RF Phased Plasma. This is left in the corp hanger for people to take as and when they need it during breaks. At the end of the op an Incursion Officer will look at amount of ammo left, and go and buy enough to make it back up to 100,000. This also applies to Lyavite (a type of ore), nanite repair paste, hobgoblin drones, and we don't run Assaults but I think they use another item, MTACs if I remember correctly.

Personally however we wouldn't keep track of this too tightly because you get through it all so fast that logging it would just be a pain, and the corp will be rebuying the supplies no matter what anyway. But thats just me. The thing we do keep track of is our collection of corp ships we lend to members, but thats just a dirt simple spreadsheet.

IMO when doing bounties make sure to let incursions work properly. By this I mean the concord payouts for incursions. Our corp currently has a mission runner stats app, but Incursion isk just comes from no where and isnt included in the detailed stats, just the overall ones. The API provides the system it was collected in I think, and that CONCORD paid it out, so that would be useful.

An addition to the PVE could be letting people log whos mission it is. Which could perhaps also count the missions left until a storyline one. 2 options here: either just a free form box to type mission name, and faction its against, or manually create a mission database based on the eve survival website, and they can then link back to that site or something. Just an idea though.

IMO don't spend too much time creating a killboard for the pvp because, well, we have killboard software, focus on making the mining and lottery features :D Perhaps an option to pull from your own EDK killboard and link back to it or something.

Thank you Nutbolt that helps! I think I might need to log on and do some incursions so I can see the API pulls for it. As for the killboard thing its not going to be like a full on kill board its just going to pull the logs for the kills and log what dropped and who was on the kill thats all. No need to reinvent the wheel there are so many killboard applications out there already.

I have sent you some sample api data for incursions. Is kinda old, but i dont think they have changed the API since.

cool sounds good. TBH im looking forward to some kind of lottery feature as theres no good free ones out there which don't require a bunch of coding :)

In reference to looting items from rats and the sheer number of items that could possibly be listed:

It's possible to create an input that queries the server for items. I made a modification for mining buddy to do just that if a users wishes to add items that can't be pulled from a static loot table. The returned information is a list of items from an SQL query on the static data dump. Clicking on the item adds that as an option to the haul list for the current haul that is being done. If you'd like to see any of the code, let me know.

The way it will be done is with JQuery that will have a text box that as you type in it will give you a list of possible items. To use this you will need to install the rather large database of items OR you can use a remote database that will give a list of items if you dont have the space on your own.

It's funny you posted I am actually working on the new site for MB/D-Ore a more Eve site to give to CCP once this is done I will be going back to work (I just getting the downloads running). But I did push a few updates to the demo site this morning on things I have fixed.

Progress is going long smoothly though I will say. Could use some help I am solo on it again the last helper has been busy with work and not able to help which is a good thing!

updates some of the Security for the site over all and started implementing the code for the Final part of the op creation. MB Export/Import tool is also 95% completed with the mapping of runs/users over to the new system still not sure if this is going to make it or not, still need to see how many people would like to have this added into the dore or not.

Also wanting to let everyone one know the company I work for is in the middle of a building move and I will be available for little coding starting Friday this week for the next 2 weeks to pick back up on the week of the 25th of this month.

Personally, i would keep it separate or perhaps a plugin for d-ore to keep the footprint of d-ore as small as possible for the majority of users. But, if there is a strong response to add it in then do so.

Mining Buddy Import will not be a plugin but a installer option the D-Ore Database does not use any of the old views or code from it so it will gather the information and put it into D-Ore.
